Hidden Target will be declared in the National Hunt Maiden Hurdle at Chepstow tomorrow at 2pm with Finn Lambert on board. He showed promise in his debut in a bumper and has been schooling and working well at home ever since. It’s a competitive race, but hopefully he learns from this experience and this tall son of Sans Frontieres looks like a fighter in the making.
Thank you to everyone who organized the Racing Welfare ‘Racing Come Dancing’ in Newbury on Sunday evening. A sold out crowd of three hundred and fifty people were treated to a very entertaining evening thanks to the very sporting gesture of many in racing to dance and be judged to raise money for Racing Welfare. Well done to bloodstock agent Tom Malone and his wife Sara, who won the popular vote.
It was a pleasure to be asked to be one of the evening’s judges, along with previous Strictly winners Orla Jordan and Chris Hollins. The evening was proof that the racing community is very strong and often helps their own and it was so good to see the likes of trainers Dan Skelton, Jamie Snowden and Tim Vaughan in the sport putting in so much effort to ensure everyone had an unforgettable evening. Good luck to those taking part in Sunday’s event in York and it looks like both events will raise an impressive amount of money for a charity that does so much good for everyone within racing.
