It was great to welcome many owners to the yard last week, including Colin Pocock, owner of Six Blue. I braved the rain to go to Cheltenham on Friday to see our good friend Sean Magee, surrounded by many wonderful people thanks to the generosity of Tim Hailstone.
Yesterday was a special day in Plumpton as the Savill family and their many friends came together to raise money for research into the rare disease fibrolamellar liver cancer. This terrible disease took the life of Charlotte Savill, one of Peter’s six beautiful children. A packed marquee supported the charity with enormous enthusiasm and love and around £300,000 was raised. J Francome and I were excited to help in a small way by piloting the event and racing is a truly inspired sport when it comes to helping those in need.
