The Trump government announced at the end of Friday that it is withing the American visa of Colombian President Gustavo Petro about alleged “reckless and fire pants actions” in New York City.

“Earlier today, Colombian president @petrogustavo was in a NYC street and insisted on American soldiers not to obey orders and set up violence,” read a message about the X account of the US Department of Foreign Affairs. “We will withdraw the visa of Petro because of its reckless and fire pants actions.”

In a fiery speech earlier this week, Petro called for a criminal investigation against President Donald Trump and other administrative officials about fatal strikes on boats in the Caribbean that the White House said they were wearing drugs.

Petro rejected the attacks and called them an ‘act of tyranny’, while also accusing Trump of criminalizing poverty and migration.

“The criminal proceedings must be opened against those officials who come from the US, even if it includes the highest officer giving the order: President Trump,” said Petro about the strikes that boot passengers were not members of the Venezuelan tren de Aragua gang as the Trump administration after the first time.

If the boats wore drugs as claimed by the American government, Petro said, their passengers were “not drug traders; they were just poor young people from Latin -America who had no other option.”

Petro, a former Marxist Guerrilla and the first left -wing leader of Colombia, has had a rocky relationship with Trump since the inauguration.

In January, Trump threatened to impose 50% rates for all imports from the Latin -American country if it did not accept military aircraft full of deported Colombians as part of Trump’s deportation. Petro threatened to take revenge with counter -rates, but later admitted and agreed to lift the flights in his ban.

In April, Petro claimed that the Trump government had moved his travel visa to the US during a cabinet meeting that month, Petro said that he could not attend meetings with international organizations in Washington, because “they took my visa away.”
