The winter transfer window ended with a whimper as deadline day turned out to be a wet one.
We didn’t get it each The Premier League signings were announced at 7pm GMT on Monday before the window closed, although a handful of deals were confirmed later in the evening.
In this article we look back at the key revenues from a Fantasy Premier League (FPL) perspective.
JORGEN BEACH LARSEN (WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS TO CRYSTAL PALACE, £48m)
In a deal that had been in the offing for days, Jorgen Strand Larsen (£6.1 million) left Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers for a side hoping not to become embroiled in a relegation scrap, Crystal Palace.
The Eagles will be hopeful of getting the 2024/25 Strand Larsen, rather than this season’s incarnation:
| Season | App | Begins | Min | Goals | Assists | Bonus | Points | Pts/Strt |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2024/25 | 35 | 30 | 2,585 | 14 | 4 | 17 | 145 | 4.4 |
| 2025/26 | 22 | 14 | 1,435 | 1 | 1 | 0 | 39 | 2.1 |
Impressively, not a single goal last season came from the penalty spot. Only five attackers could beat the number of non-penalty goals of fourteen.
He also ranked second among players in his position in shot-to-goal ratio (25.9%).
However, this has not yet happened this season. Perhaps an aborted move to Newcastle United last summer set him off. There was also the Achilles problem that dogged him early in the campaign.
Maybe a fresh start can give him new energy.
You can read more about Stand Larsen in our Moving Target article here.
JEREMY JAS (RENNES TO LIVERPOOL, £60M)
The biggest fee of the day was spent by Liverpool on former Chelsea target, Jeremy Jas.
But we won’t see the French central defender this season.
Jacquet will remain at Rennes for the rest of the season and join the Reds in the summer.
We are keeping our powder dry for a Scout Report in the final season of 2026/27, but in short: Jacquet is the Ibrahima Konate (£5.4 million) and Virgil van Dijk (£5.9 million) succession plan. Konate may leave in the summer, so opportunities as a right-sided centre-back could arise sooner. Giovanni Leoni (£4.9m) will also compete for game time there but faces a long road back from a serious knee injury.
Jacquet is a versatile centre-back and has played on either side of the defense and in the middle of a back three.
TYRIQUE GEORGE (CHELSEA TO EVERTON, LOAN)

Of Jack Grealish (£6.3m) potentially out for the season, Everton have strengthened their wide areas with the loan signing Tyrique George (£4.8 million).
He has very little Premier League experience: just one start in his young career and a handful of substitute appearances.
However, George has played a more prominent role in Europe. The 19-year-old forward made eight starts and four substitute appearances in the UEFA Conference League in the 2024/2025 season, scoring once and assisting a further two goals.
A versatile option, he has featured both on the wings and up top during his time at Chelsea.
He will compete with Tyler Dibling (£5.3 million) and Dwight McNeil (£5.5m) – who almost moved to Palace on deadline day – for a role on the other flank Indian education (£6.2 million). But it was Harrison Armstrong (£4.5m), usually more of a central midfielder, who was given the nod on the right in Gameweek 24.
ADAM ARMSTRONG (SOUTHAMPTON TO WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS, £7M)

This transfer screams ‘preparation for life in the championship’.
Armstrong is the classic situation where he is fantastic in the English second tier but doesn’t quite make it higher.
This half season at Southampton has yielded eleven goals. In his previous three full campaigns at Championship level, he scored a total of 65 times.
But look at his FPL record once he’s made the step up in the class…
| Season | Apps | Begins | Min | Goals | Assists | Bonus | Points | Pts/Strt |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2024/25 | 20 | 15 | 1,264 | 2 | 3 | 2 | 45 | 2.7 |
| 2022/23 | 30 | 14 | 1,384 | 2 | 1 | 3 | 54 | 2.3 |
| 2021/22 | 23 | 17 | 1,422 | 2 | 3 | 3 | 57 | 3.0 |
In his last spell in the top flight he was even thrown overboard to West Bromwich Albion halfway through the season.
Armstrong turns 29 next week and will compete at the front Three Arokodares (£5.4 million) and Hwang Hee-chan (£5.6 million). Younger Matoe van Manne (£4.6m) can play there too.
The small forward has taken penalties throughout his career, so he could be in the mix at Molineux now that Strand Larsen is free. However, Armstrong has missed three of his last five penalties. Hwang took Wolves’ final penalty last month and scored.
NILSON ANGULO (ANDERLECHT TO SUNDERLAND, £17.5M)
omit Simon Adingra (£4.9m) on loan earlier today, Sunderland have restored balance in their wide areas with the signing of a winger Nilson Angulo from Anderlecht.
The Ecuadorian international arrives in a deal worth £17.5 million.
“Nilson is an incredibly exciting prospect and we are delighted that he has chosen to join Sunderland. He is a quick and creative wide player, excels in all the key actions required to influence the final third, and he arrives ambitious to make an impact. He is young but has already had many interesting experiences as a senior player domestically, on the European stage and internationally with Ecuador. We are pleased to have completed this signing and look forward to welcoming Nilson to Wearside.” – Sunderland sporting director Kristjaan Speakman
Angulo has provided six goals and seven assists in 22 starts for Anderlecht in the Belgian top flight.
He is also a potential corner and free-kick taker, having scored 75 of them so far in the 2025/2026 season.
The majority of his drops have come on the left wing, so it’s an even trade for Adingra in some ways.
However, it doesn’t really solve Sunderland’s chronic right-wing problem. Chemsdine Talbi (£4.9m) has done much of his best work from a wide left-wing position, looking less effective on the other wing. Enzo Le Fee (£4.9m) spent much of the first half of 2025/26 there, but has mainly been used centrally in recent times.
AXEL DISASI (CHELSEA TO WEST HAM UNITED, LOAN)

It is another domestic loan deal for Disasi after joining Aston Villa for a short spell last January. Since returning to Stamford Bridge he has been an outcast and not even in the FPL match.
Maybe the divine line A red card (€4.3 million) puts Disasi straight into West Ham’s XI against Burnley, but the centre-back is unlikely to be match fit. Max Kilman (£4.2m) is likely to go a step further instead.
West Ham’s defenders are of limited appeal anyway: the Hammers have not yet kept a single clean sheet under Nuno Espirito Santo.
ANGEL GOMES (MARSEILLE TO WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS, LOAN)
They love Gomes, just like Wolves. Not content with having a Toti, a Rodrigo and a Joao, it has added Oude Goud Angel from Marseille.
“I’m delighted, very excited. I have a very good relationship with Angel. We go back a long time. At the FA we got on really well. I thought he was a brilliant, technical player and he’s got a great brain. He gives us real quality in that midfield and it’s a very exciting addition to the football club.” – Rob Edwards on Angel Gomes
Gomes’ career has stalled somewhat in recent years.
The highlight was four caps for England under Lee Carsley in late 2024, but he has not featured on the international stage since, playing a minor role at club level.
Calf problems were partly responsible for a stop-start last year at Lille in 2024/25 (10 competition starts, four sub-apps). A move to Marseille last summer was also a mixed bag: twelve starts and two substitutes.
In any case, he is of little interest to the FPL as a central midfielder. Eight assists (but zero goals) in 2023/24 represented a high.
GOMES LEAGUE STATISTICS
Perhaps even more relevant: what does it do to Matheus Mane’s minutes? He has been a regular starter of late, but Wolves now have Angel Gomes, João Gomes (£5.3 million), Andre (£5.3 million), Johannes Arias (£4.9 million) and the adjustment Jeanricner Bellegarde (£5.1m) competing for three midfield spots.
Of course, it’s possible we could see Mane push into the front two with Tolu.
LUCA NETZ (BORUSSIA MONCHENGLADBACH TO NOTTINGHAM FOREST, £2m)
Then look for a left back Oleksandr Zinchenko‘s (£4.9m) ill-fated loan spell was ended prematurely, Nottingham Forest may have found a bargain in Netz.
The price is low because this 22-year-old is in the last six months of his contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach.
In four and a half seasons, Netz has already played 124 games, scoring once and assisting sixteen times in the Bundesliga.
During his time there he also took corners for the German team.
Whereas Neco Williams’ (£4.7m) After the weekend we could even see Netz step straight into the Forest line-up. But beyond that, he will likely be a backup to the established fullback pair of Williams and Meals of life (£4.7 million).
JAMES WILSON (HEART OF MIDLOTHIAN TO TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR, LOAN)
Teenager forward James Wilson is on loan to Spurs until the end of the season. The Lilywhites have an option to buy the youngster for an undisclosed fee.
We’ll keep this short: Wilson will join the club’s under-21 squad, so it’s not likely we’ll see much of him in the FPL.
