Portland Trail Blazers Guard Scoot Henderson suffers a left Hamstring -Teaching during a training outside the season on Friday and is expected to miss four to weeks, the team announced.

According to the Cleveland ClinicGrade 2 and degree 3 hamstring injuries take longer to heal, especially if surgery is required. Athletes usually only need surgery if they have a serious hamstring tear.
The trail blazers did not reveal the severity of Henderson’s hamstring crack. It is also unclear how Henderson’s absence to start the season will influence the rotation of Portland.

The 21-year-old expected to enter the training camp next week to compete with Jrue Holiday and Shaedon Sharpe for a starting point at Point Guard.
Because of his injury, holiday and Sharpe could be called the start duo.
Another possibility is Deni Avdija starting next to vacation, where Jerami Grant and Toumani Camara take over the two wing spots.
Trail Blazers prepared Henderson in 2023
Henderson was selected by the blazers in the NBA design of 2023 No. 3.
During his Rookie 2023-24 NBA season, Henderson on average 14 points, 3.1 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 28.5 minutes per match in 62 games (32 starts). The inhabitant of Georgia also shot 38.5% from the field and 32.5% of deep.
In Portland’s 127-116 Home Loss to the Phoenix Suns On January 14, 2024 he registered a career-high 33 points on 11-of-31 (35.5%) shoot from the floor and 4-out-9 (44.4%) of 3-point territory.
Then in 66 games (10 starts) last season, Henderson had an average of 12.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 1.0 steals and 26.7 minutes per match while the best career of 41.9% shoots out and 35.4% from outside the arch.
After the 2023 design, Henderson signed a four-year-old, $ 44.36 million Rookie scale contract with Portland. The blazers executed his club option of $ 10.74 million for the 2025-26 season last October.
His deal includes a team option of $ 13.58 million for 2026-27, and the deadline for his second option is October 31. The team hopes that the ball protection and shooting of Henderson will improve in its third season.
The trail blazers will start against the Golden State Warriors for the preseason on 8 October and then organize the Minnesota Timberwolves on October 22 to open their regular season 2025-26.
