Toyota will make Land Cruiser and RAV4 EVS: report

Toyota has made the Lexus Es in Kentucky for 10 years. But while Americans rely on sedans, and because Toyota has to produce more EVs in the United States to prevent rates, the company is shifting the production of Es Wegw Weerucky in favor of two new electric SUVs based on some of the most popular nameplates

An anonymous source confirmed Reuters That Toyota EVs will make based on the RAV4 and Land Cruiser in Kentucky. In a statement, Toyota himself did not say what these EVs would be based on (or share the nameplates), but simply that it would build two three-row EVs in Kentucky.

In the meantime, Toyota will expand the production of Grand Highlander to another part of his factory in Indiana, because the three rows driven on gas continues to see a huge demand from the customer. Toyota also builds the Lexus TX in Indiana, and with ES production that moves to Japan, the three-row will be the only Lexus product that is made on the Statesside.

The popular NX and RX crossovers are built in Canada, while the rest of the Lexus -Line -Up from Japan comes.

Toyota has chosen a more cautious approach to electrification than others and chose to concentrate instead on expanding hybrid offers, a strategy that has proven to be successful. But now it dives further into the battery EV world, with Plans for seven models in the US by 2027. Before 2026 it will have three: the CH-R, BZ and BZ Woodland. (Four if you count the Lexus RZ.)

The CH-R is the first Toyota to reuse a nameplate of a gas for an EV, and the next Lexus Es is the first of its old products that are offered with both gas and electric drive. Going electric with a RAV4 or Land Cruiser would be a much bigger step, even if both models are only hybrid. The Land Cruiser is synonymous with the Toyota legend, while the RAV4 is one of the most popular cars in the world.

We have contacted Toyota for more information and we will update when we hear again.
