Gold Coast-based developer Mayd’s One is under construction in Burleigh Heads
A mega deal on the Scharst beach from a daring proposal to add a lush penthouse with double floors to a luxury tower under construction at Burleigh Heads.
But the plans to increase the height of the building to more than 60 meters at the request of a silver -plated buyer, have been emitted by residents, with nearly 50 objections that were submitted with the Gold Coast city council in three weeks.
Developer Mayd chases a rumor record sum for the proposed Super Penthouse, which would take the One Burleigh project from 16 to 17 apartments on the entire floor, which increases the building height by 8.4 m.

A city planning report before the council states that the application for the approved development was: “In response to a copper search for a penthouse on the roof”.
With a remaining unit in the building priced at nearly $ 12 million, the proposed new penthouse is tipped to break the record of $ 24 million for the most expensive apartment in Queensland, completed in 2023 for one on the ground of three levels in Spyre’s Glasshouse project in the same popular Gold Coast Suburb.
“The proposed penthouse gets a spacious stock of private -open space, including a swimming pool, sun lounges, [and] E -eating spaces that correspond to more than 52 m² in the area, ”says the report of Town Planning Alliance.

Plans reveal a Swish Skyhome with four bedrooms with extensive facilities, including a cinema, designer kitchen and an entertaining zone on the roof with a huge swimming pool, swimming bar, sauna and barbecue terrace in Alfresco.
But residents of nearby buildings, including various from Grace by Mosaic, have resisted the bid, so that she expressed concern about losing their views of the ocean and morning sunlight on their balconies.
Resident Michael Robbins said that the added height was “excessive” and the labeled “a slap in the face of the local community”.
“It is without a doubt a grip on money by a greedy developer who shows no respect for those who live in the surrounding property,” said Robbins.

The proposed addition follows the launch of the project on the Markt in August last year with a stunning redesign, after previous plans for the 809 m² on the corner of Second Ave and the Esplanade were suspended.
Everything except five apartments have now sold, with those who are priced from $ 9.05 million to $ 11.6 million.
The project has a unique viewpoint with open space to the opposite beach, made available by the Lange Norfolk Pines.
Proptrack data shows the median unit prize in the Gold Coast holiday ecca of Burleigh Heads has risen 11.6 percent in the last 12 months to $ 1.06 million.
The project consists of luxury units on the full floor with price tags for millions of dollars
