Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the move of Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen in recent weeks.
They have now received a boost in their search for the German International. The player will be made available during the January transfer window and intermediaries have been given the green light to look for potential destinations.
Tottenham informed Spurs of the availability of Marc-Andre ter Stegen
According to Graeme Bailey TBR Football: “Intermediaries have been given the green light to look at future transfers in Europe, and the Premier League is a destination he would seriously consider.
“Chelsea are a fascinating player. We know they want Mike Maignan on a Bosman, but can they sign Ter Stegen for six months? Why not?”
“United, Spurs, Newcastle and West Ham have also been informed.
“Ter Stegen is world class, and if there is an opportunity to strengthen your ranks with a player of this caliber for the second half of the season, I think he is a fascinating option for a number of sides in January.”
Ter Stegen must move on

Ter Stegen is no longer the club’s first-choice goalkeeper, and Barcelona are keen to move him. The move to Tottenham could be ideal for him. Guglielmo Vicario can be quite inconsistent, and the competition for places will help both players improve.
Tottenham should invest in a new goalkeeper, and loaning the German in January could be ideal. If he manages to impress, they could sign him permanently at the end of the season.
He has proven himself with club and country, and there is no doubt that he is an exceptional player. He has the qualities to flourish in the Premier League and he could make a big difference for Tottenham. In addition to his quality as a goalkeeper, his winning experience could be invaluable.
