According to recent reports, Tottenham has shown interest in Pascal Struijk, a center-back that has become a fixture in the defensive position of Leeds.
Given the financial pressure, the timeline of the contract and the Premier League question to left-sided defenders, the name of Struijk has come up as one to look, and Leeds can have difficult decisions.
The rise of Struijk from Academy Prospect to the mainstay of the first team has not gone unnoticed. Signed at a young age and developed in the structure of the club, he is impressed by his defensive capacity.
Leeds United Defender is a lot of requirement
His left foot profile is particularly rare and valuable in the Premier League, which explains why Tottenham Hotspur reportedly took him into consideration.
Sources indicate that Spurs Struijk have previously assessed, and now, with two more years over his Leeds contract, Leeds is under pressure to decide whether they want to offer a new deal.
Journalist Graeme Bailey has discussed the future of the defender in conversation with Leeds United.news. He said:
“I never got the feeling that he would leave. Farke made him feel sought. I don’t think that will [new contract] Be far away. He is a fantastic player. He attracts interest. You know, Leeds must be careful.
“We know that people like Brighton have looked at him in the past and you know, if they lose a Jan Paul van Hecke, would they look at Struijk? We know that Tottenham also looked at him,” Bailey continued.
“Left -sided centerbacks are worth their weight in gold. If Brentford loses Nathan Collins, they could come in. Leeds will want to expand him because there are many clubs that would take him.”
Tottenham Move would be a huge step for Struijk

Moreover, Leeds has already invested heavily this summer and is reportedly spent almost ÂŁ 100 million, but are seen by fans as overwhelming in attack. Defensively they can feel that they can try to hold on to depth or find replacements when Struijk leaves.
If they push too aggressively for a sale, they run the risk of weakening their backline. If they fail to agree the conditions for renewal, they can ultimately lose him for much less.
For Struijk, a switch to Spurs would be one step higher in lighting and competition. Due to the increasing interest in the defender, Leeds would find it difficult to keep the player in the club.
