Like any regular Australian, celebrities have been busy buying and selling property across the country this year.

From television and film stars to sports greats, 2025 was a big year for famous faces in the real estate market.

These are among the top celeb sales recorded in the past year.

Rebel Wilson

The Australian actress and comedian sold her Balmain investment property just a few months ago for an undisclosed price.

It sold ahead of the planned auction and had a guide price of $2 million, which was lower than expectations of $2.3 million when the two-bedroom top floor apartment was first put on the market in May last year.

The property, which was advertised as a house-style apartment, was put off the market in July last year and subsequently rented out for $1,200 a week.

Because the Pitch Perfect star paid $1.8 million of the scheme in 2015 and subsequently underwent a high-end renovation, she wasn’t expected to make much of a profit from the sale, after all the associated costs, including stamp duty and sales commission.

Wilson lived in the apartment while she renovated her former three-storey waterfront property in Birchgrove overlooking the Parramatta River, which sold for $9.5 million in 2022.

The Red Wiggle and his fitness entrepreneur wife Lauren Hannaford recently spent $5.7 million on a home in Maroubra after selling their old Clovelly apartment for $2.52 million.

The mid-1970s home has been reinvented since it last sold in 2010 for $1.9 million, with a Stubbs Design Tribe renovation.

It has award-winning gardens by Growing Room Landscapes and features an 8.5 meter “floating” heated saltwater pool and barbecue terrace.

The property had a guide price of $4.8 million when it was first put on the market earlier this year, but after switching agents it sold within eight days.

The couple, who were engaged in 2015, married in 2017 and now have a four-year-old son, were looking for more space.

The tennis star sold his Sydney penthouse for $1.925 million in June, just a few years after buying it.

He paid $1.6 million for the three-bedroom Kensington property in early 2022.

In the three years that he owned the kitchen, Kyrgios renovated the kitchen, laid a new floor and gave it a new coat of paint.

The 1,300-square-foot Anzac Parade property was marketed as a “luxury sky home topped with a huge rooftop entertainer’s terrace”.

It had a guide price of $1.8 million for the June 14 auction, but its sales agent had higher expectations.

It changed hands in a $1.925 million deal.

The radio and television host and former reality TV star sold her quirky mid-century property in Hawthorn East for more than $2.5 million.

Swan, who presents The Chrissie Swan Show on Nova FM and presents Healthy, Wealthy and Wise on Channel 7, listed the Federation-era property configured into two separate homes in May with a price guide of $2.6 million to $2.86 million.

The Mayston St house ultimately sold for a price that industry sources said was just below the lower end of the price range.

Swan renovated the property after purchasing it three years ago.

She named the three-bedroom main house “Judy,” after iconic Hollywood actor and singer Judy Garland, and the two-bedroom rear home “Liza,” after Judy’s daughter, Academy Award-winning actor and singer Liza Minnelli.

Andy Allen invested more than three million dollars in a design house in Melbourne.

The MasterChef star invested $3.85 million in a stunning designer home in Melbourne’s north earlier this year.

The purchase of the chic four-bedroom home, about 7.5km from the CBD, cemented Allen and his wife Alexandra’s move from Sydney.

Industry insiders said the move showed that Allen, who first found fame as a contestant on MasterChef Australia in 2012 and has since become a long-term judge on the show, wanted to establish permanent roots in Melbourne.

Built in 2024, the two-story home combines Scandinavian and Japanese influences with sharp rooflines, vertical metal cladding and minimalist landscaping.

The Australian golden couple recently celebrated a big payday after finally selling their luxury Gold Coast mansion.

The former AFL star and his fashion influencer wife are now set to house a hobby farm after selling their glamorous Mediterranean-inspired home Villa Casa.

The property made headlines last year when it was put up for sale and then taken off the market within two months.

But last month it was announced the Reedy Creek property had been sold to a Victorian family.

The selling agent remained tight-lipped about the sales price of the property.

The Olympic champion swimmer and her enterprising husband Luke bought a $20 million mansion on Brisbane’s waterfront.

The five-bedroom, six-bathroom home is located on exclusive Virginia Ave in Hawthorne.

Property records show it was listed for rent for as much as $4950 per week – the most expensive rental available in Brisbane at the time.

The three-storey house, with 20 meters of river frontage, a swimming pool and a tennis court, was built to take advantage of the city views.

The Tricketts’ last property purchase was a house in the rural hamlet of Bald Knob, between Maleny and Landsborough in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, in 2021.

Mick Fanning

The surfing legend sold his dream beachfront home for a whopping $16.05 million earlier this year, setting a new benchmark for the southern Gold Coast.

The three-time world champion’s Bilinga property became the most expensive home sold between Coolangatta and Currumbin after a family bought it a week before it was due to go under the hammer.

Selling agent Troy Dowker of Kollosche said the sale came about amid heated interest from multiple parties.

Fanning, who grew up in Coolangatta and built his career creating the area’s famous breaks, paid $3.25 million for the property in 2011 and built the three-storey home three years later.

The former Port Adelaide captain sold his Norwood home in February for the auction price of $2.3 million.

Jonas, who played for the Power from 2011 until the end of 2023 when he retired, bought the character home in 2018 with his then partner and now wife Millie.

It has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, open plan living and a stunning in-ground pool just steps from some of the state’s best restaurants and cafes.

Jonas has worked hard to make the modernized home as beautiful as it was when he sold it. The first step was to reintroduce the character features that had been removed during the previous owner’s renovation.

The house at 31 Prosser Ave has four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Michael Angelakis

The beloved haven of fishing king and television legend Angelakis of 44 years was sold for an undisclosed price in August.

Angelakis and his wife Silvana bought the Netherby house the year he turned 30, attracted primarily by the garden.

Angelakis, a renowned foodie and former presenter of Out of the Blue with gardening expert Michael Keelan, said life at the property revolved around food.

He said it had always been a safe haven for him, especially when he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2000.

Now cancer-free, the couple sold the property to move to the $250 million, 3.6-acre project in Forestville.

The house at 5 Pulleine Ave was sold in August.
