Looking for a little help with today’s Wordel? You have arrived in the right way. Whether you are stuck with your first gamble or just need a last push, this daily guide offers hints, instructions and the answer to keep your streak alive – beware for spoilers!

How to solve the Wordel of today

July just keeps going. However, it was fun. We got some rain this weekend and hopefully we get much more in the course of this week. Unlike so much America, we are far from flooding. It is very dry and the forest is like a Tinderbox that waits to explode. Different than that, it is pretty nice. The school will start back soon, with less than two weeks of summer vacation left, although my oldest now graduates from high school and is free of that obligation. My youngest starts the 10th grade this coming semester. How have we all become so old?

Enough walk! We have a word to solve!

How to play

Wordel is a daily word puzzle game where your goal is to guess a hidden five -letter word in six attempts or less. After each gamble, the game gives feedback to help you get closer to the answer:

  • Vegetable: The letter is in the word and in the right place.
  • Yellow: The letter is in the word, but in the wrong place.
  • Gray: The letter is not in the word at all.

Use these instructions to limit your guesses. Every day brings a new word and everyone around the world tries to solve the same puzzle. Some Wordlers also play a competitive wordel against friends, family, the wormle bone or even against me, your modest narrator. See rules for competitive Wordel by the end of this message.

Wordel -analysis

Every day I check Wordel Bot to analyze my gambling game. You can check your Wordles with Wordel Bot here.

Choir is usually a word that I use for my second gamble, but today I bumped it to the starting line -up, which apparently was a mistake. 293 words remained, and only one lonely ‘me’ in Geel. I changed course and used the favorite opener of Wordel Bot, Slate, for Guess #2 who gave me only a yellow ‘t’, but reduced the remaining solutions to only six. I tried to bind for Guess #3 and that left me only one option: Tizzy for the victory! I am completely in a tizzy because I have solved this wordel!

Competitive Wordelscore

The bone and I each get 0 today for guessing in four and binding each other. Our Totals from July remain Nek-Hek:

Erik: 8 points

The Wordel -Etymology of today

The word “Tizzy” is a snake term that probably originated in the United States of the 1930s, although its exact origin is uncertain. It is believed that it is a playful or changed formation – possibly influenced by words such as “fizzy” or “dizzy” – that evokes a feeling of agitation or nervous excitement. It first appeared in print, which means that it means a confused or excited state, often described as “in a tizzy”.
