Former UFC champion Daniel Cormier recently needed a trip to the hospital after a new chicken recipe had gone wrong.
Earlier this week, Cormier joined Co-Gastheer Chael Sonnen for a new episode of ESPN’s Podcast “Good Guy / Bad Guy” and shared interesting news about his health. According to Cormier, he ended up in the hospital earlier this week with a really bad allergic reaction. “DC” revealed that he had made a new marinade for his child’s chicken and believes that it was the perpetrator.
The former UFC champion is all good and good now, but Cormier apparently had beehives all over his body and started to swell. He also claims that freely available allergy drugs such as Atstryl did not work.
“I recently ended up in the Chael hospital. I think it was this new marinade that I made with my child’s chicken. Bro, I had an allergic reaction. Appryl did not work, so I started scratching, I had beehives all the way from my legs to my neck. My nose and everything started to do.
Cormier seems to have used pech with chicken.
This is not the first time this year that “DC” has put itself in the way of the home front. In May, Cormier revealed that he almost ‘committed suicide’ with a knife while putting together his child’s queen bed.

“I am in my house and I put my child’s queen bed together,” said Cormier. “So I get one of those sealed mattresses, and I start to cut it open. I cut the mattress too deep, to the bottom – it explodes up, the knife touches me in the chest. It would have killed me if the edge of the knife had touched me. I shaked.”
