Host Dennis James was accompanied by Milos Sarcev, Chris Cormier, and the 2025 Arnold Classic Physique winner Mike Sommerfeld for episode 247 of the Menace Podcast, and Sommerfeld is in a great position when he enters the Olympia 2025. With the former Dominator of the Chris Bumstead division now retired, the panel compared the gigantic German against cbum to predict his chances of a jackpot in Las Vegas.

“Regarding weaknesses, (which weaknesses) Chris Bumstead has that you can point, and Mike?” Milos Sarcev asked during the show. Dennis “The Menace” James first tackled the question and noted that both men at first glance had enormous physique that were difficult to accuse. However, Chris Cormier became more specific. “You have Chris: Arms (are) no first -class arms, he noticed.”

James agreed here, nothing that the biceps of Bumstead were ‘a bit substandard’. Sill, Cormier thought that the bumstead frame was one of his most important strengths. “His structure carries him so well, but his abdominal muscles are not confused, where I would like it to be, and also the back,” he explained. “But the structure, as I said, and the cutbacks and the way he was built and the way he poses great.”

Could Mike Sommerfeld win the Olympia Classic Division 2025?

“I fully agree with you,” Sarcev replied, following the assessment of Cormier and the notice of the incredible stage presence of Bumstead. Dennis James then reminded the panel that nobody in bodybuilding is perfect before Sarcev challenged the threat to detail what is not that perfect for their guest, Mike Sommerfeld.

“It depends on how you look at it,” James replied. “If you look at it, let’s say in a classic way, if I had to criticize Mike for something, I would say that his legs are almost too big when he goes to classic. That would be my only criticism for Mike,” explained James, and noticed that they could also have a big impact in the open division. “Not every classic man has the legs to go in the open air,” James offered.

Mike Sommerfeld was only second for Chris Bumstead on the Olympia 2024, when Cbum earned his sixth consecutive classical title. Now retired, his absence opens an incredible opportunity for “The Bad Ass” to become the new king of the Classical Division. Chris Cormier also encouraged Sommerfeld for the progress he has made with his posing. “I love the way you posed, the way you move,” he said. “I would just control the actual muscle groups and ensure that (the physique remains suitable) for the classic division.

Of course, Sommerfeld gets the chance to surprise his critics and to rise on the Olympia of 2025 in Las Vegas, 9 to 12 October. Click here for more information.
