Greetings everyone and welcome to this week’s TLFG.
How was your international break? Have you made good use of it and viewed a lower competition or women’s game?
I was ready to go to the Emirates on Saturday to watch Arsenal Open their Women’s Super League (WSL) campaign against London City Lionesses But my daughter was unwell and we had to cancel our journey that was very disappointing.
After almost three weeks off, I went back to work today and I write this during my break.
This meant I couldn’t go Actonians‘Big Fawnl Cup match against Chelsea U21S.
After the reigning WSL champions open their season with a crucial 2-1 victory over Manchester City on Friday, we expected their young people to push us hard.

A bumper-mixture, according to our standards, in Berkeley Fields looked at the As that made an incredibly disciplined performance when they saw a very impressive 2-1 victory to exceed their group in the last game against AFC Wimbledon In three weeks.
It was a huge moment for the club and I look forward to talking to Molly O’Reilly, who scored the opener and devised the assist for the winner, on this week’s podcast.
In other news I participated in a very exciting meeting about expanding non -League Day to another major European football nation – nothing has been assumed to view this space.
My next match is probably the Home League match of Actonians against MK Down on Sunday where they will hopefully get another three more points.
Finally this week, many thanks to Martin B by Sherborne in Dorset who have donated very friendly to TLFG’s Coffee-Drinking Fund – It is greatly appreciated.
The week before the bow
With the first international break of the season, the biggest clubs in the Premier League and Championship Return to Action are on Saturday alone there are five top matches in the capital!
Apart from that, there is also a great selection of EFL games and lots of great non -League -that -including the next round of the FA Cup that is always exciting.
In the women’s game there are a few WSL games and many competitions in the divisions below.
As always, make sure you contact clubs before you travel in case a game has been called Whether the location or kick-off time has changed is very possible for some of the lower non-league clubs and development competitions. Let me know if something is wrong or missing.
Details about all this week can be found on the next competition cards. If you have never used them before, keep in mind that if there is more than one match on a specific soil, you can only see individual match pins if you can immediately zoom in. If you don’t do that, the pins cover each other and you might miss them. To prevent this, you can also scroll the list of games on the drop -down menu at the top of the map page to ensure that you get all the information. Games are displayed from top to bottom in the date order, so the matches of Monday (Yellow Pin) appear the first and Sunday (Orange Pin) last. Games are also arranged in terms of status, so the higher the division, the higher on the list they appear every day.
Even if you are not familiar with the English competition structure, I indicate the level at which an individual competition is in the national ‘pyramid’ with the Premier League at the top (level 1) and various small competitions at the bottom (level 10). Usually a game at the highest level will see the crowds of somewhere between 20,000-60,000. These figures will gradually decrease if you end the competitions until you come to levels 8-10 where those present from 150 or less occur the most.

In the next section I mention what in my opinion the most striking games of the week are and I give some short reasons for my choice. View the above tickets for kick -off times, ticket information and instructions.
Monday 8 September
Premier League Cup
ECL Division 1 South
Barkingside in FC Baresi @1945pm – After a reasonable start, the ‘side is now Winless in five in the competition. If you also record cup competitions, their record looks even worse. On Monday they play a side that they defeated 2-1 on the opening day of the season (why they are already playing them again, I don’t know), so that should give them some confidence. Tickets are available on the gate for somewhere in the Ā£ 5-7 region

Tuesday 9 September
Professional Development League
If you want to see two games on Tuesday, it should be fairly simple. There are three lunch time kick-offs in this U21 competition with Brentford” Charlton Athletic And Millwall All play at home – the latter also organize theirs at De Hol. Contact the clubs for full access details
Premier League Cup
Leyton Orient V Watford @7 pm – The O’s only had a U21 side this summer, so have never played in this competition before and are the only completely newcomers this year. The Hornets have no specific pedigree here, arrived at the bottom of their group last season and were eliminated early. This is played on Brisbane Road, but I can’t find ticket data yet – it will probably pay on the day, check the club’s website and social media for more info
National League Cup
Southern League Premier South
Isthmian League South East
AFC Croydon Athletic V Broadbridge Heath @1945pm – The game of the day in the eighth layer can be found on Cobham’s land where the rams move for the night. I’m not sure why this happens, but just don’t go to the Mayfield stage, because you will be disappointed. These two are currently third and fifth, so hopefully they will set up a good spectacle. Tickets must be available at the gate for about Ā£ 10 – I can’t find prices on their website or social channels
Isthmian League Cup
Hayes & Yeading United v Southall @1945pm -I rarely have games in this competition, especially in the early stages, but the trek has thrown a large groundshare derby in West London. They have led a nomadic existence for many years, but are now tenants on a land that is probably closer to Southall than Hayes. The parties play in the same division and are both to the wrong end, so it must be close by. Tickets are usually £ 12 on the gate

Wednesday 10 September
CCL Premier North
Hilltop v Burnham @1945pm – The hosts who play in Silver Jubilee Park this season have made the season an inconsistent start, but are still in the top eight after eight games. On Wednesday they entertain the top club of the division that played two games less, but they all won. Two points free from the teams in the second and thirds that both played more games, the blues already look like strong title candidates. Tickets are available on the gate for Ā£ 8

Friday 12 September
Ladies Super League

Do you have questions about visiting London? Do not hesitate to ask – whether it is football or more general travel/tourist questions. I do not charge for this advice like some other sites, so don’t keep it back!
