Tim Connelly is no stranger to large transactions. Look no further than the deal that he has closed for Rudy Gobert, just a few months in his term of office as a decision maker of the Minnesota Timberwolves, or the subsequent trade in Karl-Anthony cities that split up the big man duo and Julius Randle and Donge Duvenzo.
The president of the Timberwolves will not hesitate to cross the tractor for another Blockbuster deal if something flourishes during the 2025-26 season.
Is another Timberwolves trade inevitable?
The Timberwolves have achieved the Western Conference Finals in back-to-back seasons, and for the most part they enter the coming season with the same schedule. Nickeil Alexander-Walker is the only considerable grid room, but the starting five and a large part of the depth are still intact.
With two straight deep play -off runs, the Timberwolves are in the middle of the best piece in franchise history, and they are clearly one of the best teams in the Western Conference. However, their inability to push and reach the NBA final in the past two years are some of the opinion that their ceiling is currently covered, and the loss of Alexander-Walker will certainly not help Minnesota take the next step forward.
Point Guard would probably be the position that Minnesota would like to upgrade
The position of the Point Guard is a certain place to look at when the Timberwolves decide to reconstruct the schedule through trade, something that Jon Krawczynski is hinted to be A possibility.

Their championship window is now, so the team would probably be good to say goodbye to young people such as Dillingham, Terrance Shannon Jr. And Joan Beringer if it meant it would add the player she could get over the bump. Connelly apparently always has something in his sleeve, and he would certainly not hesitate to make a huge trade if something comes out.
