Tiger Woods is back … Balls on a Driving Range for the first time in months in public sight. It did not sound like news, but it is very consistent when it comes to the 15-way big champion, his legions of fans and his future in pro-golf.
This is what you need to know.
Tiger Woods spotted on reach at Liberty National
First, the goods. This week Woods is in Liberty National in New Jersey. The course with a view of the Manhattan skyline across the river, has organized several PGA Tour events, as well as the Presidents Cup 2017.
In recent years it has also organized the Nexus Cup. The Nexus Cup is an annual luxury amateur golf event. According to The official websiteThe event is “available for only 18 quadries, combines two days of team competition with composite gifts, beautiful kitchen, good wine and more including exciting evening festivities in Nexus Club New York.”

In his role as host, Woods has often performed clinics for the happy attendees at the Nexus Cup in recent years. And this year does not seem to be different.
On Tuesday, the video of Woods appeared that balls hit the reach of Liberty National. The fast clip shows Woods dressed in blue nowadays red golf clothing and touches what a full wigschot seems to be.
It also seems that Tiger is swinging without pain, which is considerably considering his last operation in March that he has loved the golf course since then – at least when cameras are rolling.

Why is Tiger’s Range session important?
So why are Golffans desperately looking for a glimpse of forest on the range? That’s simple. They haven’t seen it for a long time.
The last time Woods competed in public against Profs was his last TGL match of the season at the beginning of March. He was expected to return to Pro Golf shortly thereafter, perhaps at the Masters 2025.
But days after his last TGL match, Woods announced that he had torn his Achilles tendon. The resulting operation and recovery ended his PGA Tour Comeback loop for 2025.

Last winter Woods had made his most recent return of an operation in September 2024 at the PNC championship in December. He and son Charlie Woods set up a show that week (they shot a 59!), Eventually lose in a play -off of team longer.
Tiger’s last Pro -start came to the Open Championship 2024 last July, where he missed the cut. It was one of only five events he played that season, with his only cut in the Masters, where he finished in 60th.
Unbelievable, his five starts in 2024 was most tiger in a season since 2020, a year after winning the Masters 2019.
Given all of that, all images of a healthy tiger forests are that golf big news in the game. It also raises questions about when Woods will make his next return to professional wave.
When will Tiger Woods return?
The first opportunity to compete in a real stroke game tournament is the Hero World Challenge at the beginning of December. Woods hosts the long -term event and he has chosen to achieve several returns from surgery in the past.
With a small field with top professionals, a relaxed competition and few fans, it is a great opportunity to come back to the game.

But if the health of Woods is not completely ready by that time, the next most obvious chance would be the PNC championship 2025 at the end of December.
The exhibition event is low stress and he would play with Charlie while trying to avenge their play -off loss last year.
As for real professional events, there are two obvious places that Bos could deliver in 2026. And both are far away.
First, the Genesis Invitational in Riviera in February, another tournament that he organizes. The second is of course the 2026 Masters in Augusta National, where Woods would like to bind to bind Jack Nicklaus’ record of six Masters victories.
