On December 30, 2025, Tiger Woods turned 50 years old. One of the greatest athletes of all time, Tiger’s birthday and career were widely celebrated by fans and sports media alike. Now it’s time for Tiger to celebrate his own 50th birthday, and he’s got a suitably epic party planned for it.
From a huge celebrity guest list to an official name, lavish host site, golfy dress code and multiple references to his career, here are the six most interesting details about Tiger’s 50th birthday party.
Tiger’s birthday party has a name… and a sponsor
Every pro golf tournament has an official name, and most have a company that acts as a sponsor to help defray the costs.
Why not follow the same strategy for golf’s biggest birthday party? This was decided by Tiger and his TGR Foundation, which organizes the event.
Tiger’s birthday will officially be known as “RED: Celebrating Legacy presented by EY US.”
The party will also serve as the launch of the 30th anniversary of the TGR Foundation’s fundraising campaign.
The historic (and lavish) Palm Beach resort will play host
Tiger is a longtime resident of the Palm Beach area and dozens of other PGA Tour professionals and golf legends have joined him over the years. It is also a popular area for non-golf celebrities and business magnates.
So it makes sense that Tiger’s birthday party will take place in Palm Beach. But the location is not your average Palm Beach location.
The BreakersOpened in the late 1890s, it is one of the most historic and opulent resorts in Florida.
Originally a holiday destination for robber barons in the early 20th century, it has hosted the rich and famous for over a century. The current hotel, built in 1925, is Renaissance in style and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
In addition to being a charity event and birthday party, Tiger’s 50th is also intended to celebrate his historic golf career. And the Masters has played a bigger role in Tiger’s career than any other tournament.
Tiger has won the Masters five times, including his first career major in 1997 and his most recent in 2019. After each of those victories, Woods hosted a Masters Champions Dinner where he had to choose the menu.
Why is that important? Because the dinner menu for Tiger’s 50th birthday party will include highlights of his five Masters Champions Dinners.
Highlights reportedly include cheeseburgers, porterhouse steaks, fajitas, crab cakes, milkshakes and more.
Stacked celebrity guest list for Tiger’s birthday party
We don’t know exactly who is on the guest list for Tiger’s birthday party, but we do know a few details about it.
First, 300 A-List guests were invited. That may seem grand to you and me, but the party organizers consider it ‘intimate’.
Cyndi Court, CEO of the TGR Foundation spoke to Front Office Sport about the strategy behind the guest list.
“We certainly could have made it bigger, but we also wanted it to be intimate so that we could celebrate people who have made tremendous dedication over the years to Tiger’s vision of what could be possible in the future,” Court said.
The dress code for Tiger’s birthday party is a nod to the Sunday uniform
Considering that the party has a name, title sponsor and theme, it only makes sense that there is also a unique dress code.
Attendees at Tiger’s birthday party have reportedly been asked to add ‘a touch of red’ to their ensembles for the evening.
That’s a nod to Tiger’s career. Throughout his decades in professional golf, Woods has always worn the same uniform during Sunday final rounds: a red shirt and black pants. The dress code, like the name of the party, is inspired by Tiger’s Sunday uniform (as is his clothing company Sun Day Red).
Music legend will perform for Tiger and celebrity guests
There have been several instances of Woods hosting events with musical guests. Older golf fans may remember the ‘Tiger Bash’ days. When Tiger hires a music artist, you can usually assume that they will be high-profile and very popular, but often not critically acclaimed.
And Tiger’s 50th birthday party will be no different. Performing for Tiger and his celebrity guests will be New Jersey’s own Jon Bon Jovi.
What’s next for Tiger Woods?
Once his birthday party is over, we’ll all be wondering the same thing again: When will Tiger play professional golf again?
The answer: no one knows (including Tiger). He is still recovering from surgery he underwent last fall and his timetable is unknown. We do know that he will be present at TGL matches when the second season starts. But we don’t know yet if Tiger will ever be healthy enough to compete.
As for the PGA Tour, a possible return date could be the 2026 Genesis Invitational, which Woods will host from February 19 to 22. That could prove to be too optimistic an assessment.
If we know anything about Tiger, there really is one tournament above all others circled on his calendar, one he will surely play if he’s healthy enough: the 2026 Masters, which kicks off April 9 at Augusta National.
