The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Philadelphia 76ers to end their two-game skid 129-104 on Sunday.
Thunder star Chet Holmgren dropped 29 points and nine rebounds on 12 of 17 shooting from the field, including 2 of 4 from three-point range, coming off back-to-back losses to the San Antonio Spurs.
Oklahoma shot 50 for 87, resulting in an overall fielding percentage of 57%.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added 27 points, five assists and two steals, and Jalen Williams contributed 14 points and six assists for the NBA-leading Thunder.
The reigning MVP made 10 of 13 field goals and shot 7 for 9 from the line before sitting out the fourth quarter and scoring at least 20 points for the 103rd consecutive game.
On the other end, Sixers guard Tyrese Maxey scored 28, Quentin Grimes had 13 and Paul George added 12 as they played without superstar Joel Embiid due to an ankle injury.
Philadelphia committed 23 turnovers, leading to the Thunder’s 31-point lead.
George was warmly received by the Thunder crowd as his trade with the Clippers helped shape the NBA champions, who acquired Gilgeous-Alexander and Williams in the deal.
Oklahoma made its first nine field goals, but Maxey led the 76ers and stayed close with 23 points in the first half.
However, the Thunder took control in the third quarter, dominating Philadelphia 38-24 for a 102-86 lead heading into the fourth.
The 76ers will face the Memphis Grizzlies, while the Thunder will host the Hawks on Monday.
