Three weeks from Olympia 2025: Prep Sworks, Mind Games and Survival Guide – Spier & Fitness

The intensity and stress continue to rise for three weeks of the Olympia. For some, the water tricks and advanced chemistry techniques may just start, but for them and everyone else it is now about survival.

There is very little at the moment that you can do your physique – at least the structure. At the moment the search is to exhaust and fill. But the beginning of that is another week away. The immediate care on this point is the continuation of the week.

Athletes who start to land from far away in Las Vegas. It was nice to see the arrival of Hadi Choopan, given the political friction between his country and ours, it was a relief to know that he made it. Others trickle in, some are still grinding at home, a few that we are not sure of. And there is always the chance that someone will rise – the disappointing injury by Nick Walker last year proves that it can even happen to the favorites.

Train it, don’t break it

Training in a show is fertile soil for the ego of an athlete to destroy his physique. Some boys are on it to move large weights to the end, convinced that lighter training will leave them flat. Others support the weight, focus on precise shape and maximum pump to prevent injury. Guess who ends up on the sidelines? It is not always the boys who train heavily. At this stage it can happen to everyone who does something.

However, it is sufficient to say the obvious, a torn PEC or grated tendon knew a whole year of work; No matter how you do it and costs another year to solve.

At the moment, hunger is so bad that it can make you laugh out of helplessness. There is absolutely nothing you can do, but sucking up. Of course people will try sugar-free jell-o and frozen flavored water, maybe even some proteins, or make pudding of their protein powder, but that’s not what you want. Nothing is what you want. What you want you not to have. Period. And that is quite high on the suction meter.

Busy bodies

A trick is to stay occupied. Three weeks out can be filled with endless groceries: massages, chiropractor visits, pose -practice, browns, cardio, meal preparations, obligations, performances – although most boys currently cut them out – who produce social media content, training. Everyone is moving and tries to distract themselves from the constant longing, crawling doubt, debilitating fatigue and toxic stress.

Sponsors make things complicated further. Some boys cut all travel obligations, but many do not have the luxury. Social messages, interviews, even performances are still on the calendar. And a few competitors? They still hit a clock on real jobs and work to eat every two hours. An employer is not particularly enthusiastic about what you do in your “free time”, while others give it less, just be on time and do your work. Some guys can get their PTO and draw enough days off from the work to make things easier, others just have to get rid of it. Nothing is easy.

The Mental War

This is where the psychological grind intensifies. Doubt crawls in. Am I flat? Too full? Too soft, too watery? Every variable feels like life or death. Stress skyrockets – and stress is the enemy. Some fight chemistry, but no pill floods the pressure of standing under the Olympia lights. It is on in just a few days. Of course you can always stop and go to the Chinese buffet, but you really can’t. You are in this and it is not out. Not intact with your dignity.

Count

The game did not start three weeks outside, but the competition is certain, the suffering has been going on for weeks and is getting worse against the second. Each athlete runs a razor edge between peak condition and total collapse. Those who manage the chaos and keep their heads while starving – those are those who come on stage intact.

Because at the moment, in the heat of Prep, one truth is clear: you can’t win if you don’t survive.
