Wild East (Always B Miki) returns to the circuit after the last race in April.
“He went into the wind so he has had wind surgery. He did well in training and should improve some but he had been out for a long time. His work since training has improved. He should have had another training session but it was short (low nomination figures) so we thought we could help the Club and get the first (race) off the ground,” Lauren said.
First starter King Hit (raging bull) line up in the same race.
“He has done everything we asked of him, but race day is another step forward. We assume he will make it and take the next step. He is fit enough and working well, so he should be around there.”
Formerly trained by Brent McIntyre, Huckleberry (the press) has recently joined the Pearson stable and will start in Race Five.

“He’s a work in progress. Our main goal is to get him around. In all his starts he’s only gotten around once and he won. He’s gained a lot of confidence in his two training sessions, but our main goal is to get him around in one piece. We’ve taken the blinds off him, put a post on him and some spreaders.”
