Threads makes it easier to share posts you like and save

Threads makes it easier to reshare posts you’ve saved and liked by adding a new list of them to display directly connected to the composermaking them all instantly accessible while you post.

As you can see in this image, you can now tap the quote icon at the bottom of the composer to access a list of all the posts you’ve saved or liked.

Like and save topics, share

As explained by Wires:

In the composer, tap the quote icon and you’ll see lists of the posts you’ve saved and liked. Choose the one that inspires you, add your opinion and quote it. This feature is available on iOS and will be rolled out to Android in the coming weeks.”

That makes it easier to go back to the posts that made you think, or that you might have wanted to comment on, but maybe needed some extra time to formulate your smart comment before composing your response.

Or maybe it’s just a good way to keep these ideas fresh and get more people saving more content in the app to refer back to at a later stage.

So if someone says something and you know it will come back to haunt them, you can now save it and refer to it at a later time, instead of having to search to find the exact message.

It’s a small update in the grand scheme of things, but it could help increase Threads activity and get more users sharing more of their thoughts and opinions.

That’s a major challenge for social apps, one that will grow over time. More and more people are now using social media as a source of entertainment and not a means of connection, which means fewer and fewer people are actually posting their own posts and updates over time.

Threads is trying to combat this in several ways by adding filters for activity feeds, temporary “ghost posts,” podcast promotion tools, and more.

The more ways Threads can add to encourage interaction, the more it can make Threads a more compulsive, engaging experience that not only provides a feed of the latest updates but also invites participation.

That will enrich the Threads experience, while also giving Meta more conversation data for its AI tools.
