1/79 Fyffe ST, Thornbury, was inspected by nearly 100 buyer groups prior to this weekend auction.

A copper saving from the first house was their competition with a $ 50,000 bid more than the spare price of a Thornbury Villa at an auction on Saturday.

The lightning -fast sale of the building unexpectedly arrived at seven digits, instead of six.

Luke Brizzi from McGrath Northcote said that the young buyers “came in hard and fast” when the house went under the hammer with two bedrooms on 1/79 fyffe st.

The couple was the second to offer, after an opening of an $ 825,000 offer from another buyer.

Mr. Brizzi described the $ 930,000 seconds as a bit of a surprise, because three buyers competed for the keys to the villa.

The renovated house was mentioned with a range of $ 840,000 $ 880,000, but was eventually sold for $ 1.04 million,

“Between $ 825,000 and the point of $ 1.04 million it was extremely fast – I think the time needed to get the last bid would have been less than 90 seconds,” said Brizzi.

“The auction would have passed in three minutes.”

He said that the buyers were enthusiastic and relieved that they had secured a house.

“It was really nicely renovated,” he said.

“They said that when they came to see it, it had a great feeling, it wasn’t too big or too small.”

Almost 100 buyer groups inspected the villa during the sales campaign.

The owner, who bought the house about three years ago and did the renovations, was all smiling after the auction.

“She was absolutely ecstatic,” Mr. Brizzi said, and added that the owner moved because she and her growing family needed a larger house.

The house is close to cafes, shops, public transport, Merri Creek Trails and Bell Primary School.

Mr. Brizzi said there was currently a shortage of houses for sale, especially because of the colder winter weather and owners who wait to see what the market would do in the coming months.

But he said that the reserve bank’s decision to reduce Australia’s official cash rate by 0.25 percentage points last week would probably give homeowners more confidence to mention in the spring.

Another Saturday auction in the southeastern suburbs of Melbourne saw an apartment with two bedrooms with two bedrooms with a courtyard for $ 551,000.

The amount was $ 91,000 above the $ 460,000 reserve.

The apartment of Cheltenham had five bidders tried for his keys.

Angela Limanis from Ray White Bayside Group said that five bidders participated in the auction.

“It started with a bang and we literally reached the reserve price,” said Mrs. Limanis.

The new owner is a buyer from the first house who had previously rented in the city center.

Mrs. Limanis added that the RBA interest reduction reduced buyers “to give it everything they have, because they might have to pay more for the same real estate in the future”.
