England -Baas Thomas Tuchel insists that his side will certainly be eligible for the World Cup, while offering to reverse their fortunes after a worrying international break in June
Thomas Tuchel has admitted that his English team is missing something. If you look at the performance against Andorra and Senegal, you would probably claim that they miss a lot.
And the harsh reality is that Tuchel has even withdrawn his language by saying that England will win the World Cup when he took over to admit that they are just in the mix.
The clock taps Tuchel while the tournament will start in the United States in the United States on 11 June – and that is why it is so surprising that the manager of England has torn everything and started all the way again.
English boss Tuchel started with a 4-4-2 formation against Senegal and the players looked like they were not familiar with the system, the tactics could not get and it was not the best from Harry Kane or Bukayo Saka.

The point was when Tuchel took over that he said England had been very close – and now just needed the finishing touches. But it seems that Tuchel is going to rebuild.
Former boss Gareth Southgate worked so hard to break barriers between the fans and the team and also to establish a solidarity in his team that looked like a club atmosphere.
They looked like strangers against Andorra and Senegal. There was no connection, zip or fluidity. Tuchel has shown blind faith and misplaced loyalty by holding on to Kyle Walker and Jordan Henderson who are beyond their best.
Then Burn looks like half a journeyman center and suddenly the defense looks like an unorganized mess. The proven and trusted four Van Walker, John Stones, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw at its peak was the rock on which the base of England was built.
None of the current backs would be in that line-up. And that is a big problem. So also a week to go to a warming training camp in Girona – only to look like they all have a touch of sunstroke.
Can you imagine that the Pelters would get Southgate if he took England to Spain for a week – and then received two such bad versions?
Perhaps England had their opportunity to win a big tournament. They came so close to winning the euros in 2021, they were at their peak in Qatar in 2022 and reached the final at the last euro last summer.
They are now watching a team on their way down with a few remarkable exceptions such as Jude Bellingham, Declan Rice and Saka who still have the world at their feet.
Tuchel admits that the expectation levels still remain towering, but they have to find missing ingredients. And it is clear that the clock ticks. Tuchel said: “Perhaps our own expectation towards us and how we approach games is also hard for us at the moment.
“We expect a lot from us, I understand it because we also expect a lot from us and myself. I miss a bit of the excitement and laughter and the joy. I see it in training, I saw a glimpse after it was 2-1 against Senegal, I liked the reaction, but in general no.”
Tuchel insisted that England will certainly be eligible for the World Cup – and there should be no apologies, it is a group with Andorra, Latvia and Serbia.
But Tuchel said that England cannot always take it for granted. “100 percent. But this is the balance that we have to get well.
“This is the perception because we are competitive, we are in tournaments, we qualify, I am still 100 percent convinced that we are eligible and we will be competitive and be able to win our qualification group. There is no doubt and there will never be a doubt.”
