1995: Atlanta’s Marquis Grissom gets five singles to lead the Braves to a 9 – 6 triumph over exposure, which increases the lead of the team over the second place Philadelphia is increased to 1 1/2 games in the NL East.
1969: Willie Stargell becomes the first player to get a home run entirely from Dodger Stadium. The 512 foot, seventh-aftering, explosion breaks a 3-3 draw, making the Pirates Los Angeles beat, 11-3. 2000: Sammy Sosa will be the first Cubs player to reach 100 RBIs six consecutive times. Hack Wilson did it for five consecutive seasons from 1926 to 1930.
