To dismay many fans, the power is not always rewarded with awards in motorsport. Earlier this week we asked our readers who are their favorite racing board programs that have never won a championship. Although Motorsport has an extensive landscape with different tops trying to conquer competitors, most of the answers are aimed at the pinnacle: Formula 1. For those of you who were not around when the question was asked, I excluded the drivers I mentioned: Stirling Moss, Daniel Ricciardo and Nascar Hall of Famer Mark Martin. Without further delay, the best titll -free drivers have been put forward here:
Felipe Massa, the almost world champion
Felipe Massa, presented by user Bean_rougeAnd Ferrari believed that he had secured the world championship in 2008 for less than a minute during the seasonal Brazilian Grand Prix. Massa won the race, but Lewis Hamilton took his first title on one point with a last pass around Timo Glock for fifth place. The Brazilian would never win another Formula 1 race. Massa was hit by a spring on the head in 2009 and was exiled to a second driver’s role behind Fernando Alonso when he recovered.
Rubens Barrichello, the Wingman of the Red Baron
Rubens Barrichello, presented by users Tripe46 And EradicateBrought the highlight of his career as a teammate of Michael Schumacher. Just like his countryman Massa, he fell into a second driver’s role at Ferrari. Barrichello finished in second place in the world championship in 2002 and 2004 during the regime of Schumacher of five straight titles. He would also play an important role as Jenson Button’s teammate during the wonderful champion season of Brawn GP.
Ronnie Peterson, the Swedish icon
Ronnie Peterson, presented by user Benno JonesAlso finished twice in second place in the F1 World Drivers’ Championship in 1971 and 1978, however, the last result would be posthumously. Peterson was killed during a Race start crash during the Italian Grand Prix of that season. His teammate, Mario Andretti, would win the title after completing the last two rounds without scoring points. The lack of reliability of the era effectively secured 1st and 2nd in the rankings for the Lotus drivers.
Gilles Villeneuve, Ferraris Lost Savant
Gilles Villeneuve, presented by the user Riley EscobarHad an unlikely meteoric turnout to Formula 1 from Canada. The dual champion in the Junior Canadian Formula Atlantic category attracted the attention of Formula 1 in 1976 after he defeated various stars, including the final champion James Hunt, in a non-championship Atlantics race in Trois-Rivières. Villeneuve was an F1 championship second in Ferrari in 1978, his second season. In 1982 he died in a crash during the qualification for the Belgian Grand Prix.
Gerhard Berger, F1’s Resident Prankster
Gerhard Berger, a talented and successful F1 driver without championship profits, although my favorite thing about him is the jokes he was involved in Senna.

Robert Kubica, the missed champion of the years 2010
Robert Kubica – probably the biggest “what if?” In recent memory. If it was not for that rally accident, he would probably come close, if not the championship won. He won Le Mans and returned to F1 with essentially one hand. That is insane and shows his skills and dedication.

Robert Kubica -saw him survive the ’08 Canadian GP -Wrak ’08, a horrible rally accident and then a triumphant return to racing to win at Le Mans and make a short statement in an F1 car …*Chef’s Kiss*

Ken Block, Gymkhana Legend and Rallying Bridesmaid
Maybe a thing that not many people think about, but most know … know Block. Dude has certainly won a few rallies and races, but never a championship. I thought he had won a rally America season, but he always lost to Pastrana or Higgins. Came into the rallyx a few times, but no general titles. Had it pleasure to meet him once when I worked as a valet. The nicest man you could have met. Tear the legend.
