The 2025-2026 NHL season officially enters the second final month of the regular season. Even with about 20-25 games left for each team, the standings remain relatively super close in the middle as the playoff race heats up. Per Money Puckthe Jets have a 6.9% chance of making the playoffs as they are ranked 27th overall. The Jets find themselves in the same spot they were at the end of January, and with the trade deadline approaching in less than a week, it’s time for the Jets to start thinking about how they want to shape their roster for next season.

After a minimal schedule in February due to the three-week break for the Olympics, the March schedule will be super busy, including for the Jets. After returning from the break with an overtime win and an overtime loss, the Jets are getting ready to play 16 games in the month of March, 10 of which will take place at the Canada Life Centre. Here’s a look ahead at where the Jets will be in action in March 2026.

On Sunday afternoon (March 1), the Jets conclude their three-game road trip in San Jose against the Sharks. After this game, the Jets will have their longest homestand of the season, with eight straight games at the Canada Life Center. Looking at the Jets’ opponents over these eight games, they will play only three teams currently in a playoff spot. What’s also quite notable about these eight games is that they will play four of the five teams below them in the NHL standings. The Jets roster could look a little different after the trade deadline, but these could very well be some winning hockey games.

After the eight straight games at home, the Jets hit the road again for another three-game road trip, with stops in Boston, Pittsburgh and New York. After the only back-to-back of the month, the Jets return home to host the Vegas Golden Knights, followed by the 1st place Colorado Avalanche. The busy month of March ends with a trip to Colorado, followed by two nights off before a game on March 31 in Chicago.

Looking at the strength of the opponents in this March schedule, the Jets should be able to get around 8 wins in March. With a lot of movement in the middle of the standings on a nightly basis, it will be difficult for the Jets to get anywhere close to the playoff conversation unless they can string together a huge win streak in March.

With the standings still in the middle, not many teams will be officially eliminated from the playoffs in March. This means that teams like the Jets will do everything they can to compete and play the way they want to, while also looking ahead to an important next season as they hope to return to a team as their best regular season 2024-2025.
