More than a decade since leaving the team, Kevin Love is still a beloved figure through the Timberwolves Fanbase. A Double-Double Machine during its time there, the 6-foot-8 Power Forward/Center made three All-Star Games, two All-NBA second teams, and was named 2010-11 most improved player during his six-year-old Minnesota official period.
The NBA career of 37 years old will be on 7 September and is approaching its conclusion. Can a return to his first team be in the cards?
Love wants to leave Jazz
It was a few days ago that NBA -Sinsider Marc Stein said that love Is looking for ways to leave Utah. He was traded by the heat a month ago to jazz. The 17-year-old veteran certainly has no place in the reconstruction timeline of Utah.
Stein also reported that love would be interested in both Los Angeles teams, the clippers and Lakers. Participating in the clippers would be appropriate because they have filled their selection with older players. Going to the Lakers would reunite him with LeBron James, with the two together win a title in 2016 with the Cavaliers. However, it is unclear whether both teams would be interested in love.
Returning with the wolves would certainly continue a theme of this NBA out of season. Damian Lillard is back at the Trail Blazers and Chris Paul has joined the clippers again. It even happened in other sports, with NFL -wide recipient Keenan all who goes back to the Chargers after he had signed with them on Tuesday.
Perhaps love can be the second big of the bank if Chris Finch does not think that Rookie Joan Beringer is still ready.
Least playing time of career in 2024-25
In 2024-25 Love appeared in just 23 games (nine starts). He was towards the end of the season, including the first round play -off loss of the heat, for personal reasons.
It was also the least productive season of his career when he played a career-bear 10.9 minutes per game. His averages of 5.3 points and 4.1 rebounds are also career depth.
The Timberwolves already roast an old experienced player in Joe Ingles, who will be 38 on October 2. The route goes to have two older players from the bank who would not be expected much, may not be in the interest of Minnesota.
Although love returns to the wolves would be a feel-good moment, with championship spirations, the team can be better served to fill an open schedule with a younger floor general.
