The Reebok Engine A gets a ‘Purple Fusion’

The Reebok Engine A represents a major milestone for the brand as Reebok’s first new performance basketball model since the Allen Iverson era, marking the first chapter in a renewed move to the hardwood that has since expanded with the debut of the inaugural Angel Reese signature shoe. Its first year on shelves has already yielded many highlights, including an Angel Reese PE, a “Green Glow” pair for Halloween, and even a mismatched green and yellow edition timed for the Allen Iverson documentary. To end the year, the brand is introducing a dusky ‘Purple Fusion’ colorway for the colder months.

The Engine A features a one-piece molded synthetic upper, ERS cushioning for energy return and Reebok’s SuperFloat foam for extra impact absorption. The result is a truly positionless design, which makes sense given Reebok’s intention to make this the go-to model for its growing stable of hoop athletes. This ‘Purple Fusion’ style keeps things sleek and still looks sharp, built with a largely monochrome exterior, white Reebok logos and a brighter, more striking shade on the traction underfoot.

The Reebok Engine A “Purple Fusion” releases on November 26 via Reebok in men’s sizing for $120. Check out the official images below and check out our sneaker release dates page for more upcoming basketball shoes.
