If you missed the legal update, I FINALLY got the retailers who were carrying copies of my Pirouette Skort to pull them from their stores. They said, “Okay, we’ll just destroy them” and I was like, uhhh no, you can’t do that and that’s the story of how I ended up with a warehouse full of Pirouette dupes!
Like… I hate dupes and I never thought I would collect them, but when it came to destroying perfectly good clothes, I had no choice but to save them.
With THOUSANDS OF DUPES piled up in my warehouse (which I have to pay extra for storage), I now had another problem 🥲
Then I reached out to my friends and amazing fashion designers Tracy Garcia And Kiana Bonollo to see if they wanted to help me do something cool with the dupes… and all that… Popflex Upcycle project was born!
I am BEYOND MINDBLOWN about what Tracy and Kiana did with the fabric! Like 🤯🤯🤯. We have created kits for anyone who wants to make these dresses themselves. The pattern is digital and I will send all the fabric you need! I wasn’t sure what to expect in terms of interest, BUT THEN…
YOU SOLD THEM OUT IN 5 MINUTES. At first I was told “in less than an hour,” but no. Five minutes. Ummm, do I have to fill my warehouse with dupes again?!
