The Flying Flea S6 has a neo-retro aesthetic
In a sea of futuristic EVs, Royal Enfield’s Flying Flea sticks to its roots. So the S6 has a minimalist neo-retro design. Round lights, a tall stance and simple body panels are all here, complete with juicy attention to detail. The latter includes a finned magnesium battery case, a gold finish on the chain and forks and carbon fiber texturing on the panels. However, these bits may change on the production model.
With robust underpinnings that match the Scrambler atmosphere
In addition, there is no shortage of cool elements. The cross-spoke wheels are the star here, complemented by motocross-inspired front and rear fenders. Handguards, uprights and a rally-style flat saddle complete the package. Diving deeper, the wheels measure 19 and 17 inches front and rear, while the suspension – USD forks and monoshock – appear to have enough travel for mild trails.
There is an army of technological features on the Flying Flea S6
While gas-powered Royal Enfields are quite basic, the Flying Flea range goes in the opposite direction. The S6 proves that by using an internal operating system and a UI/UX built around the Qualcomm Snapdragon QWM2290 processor. 4G, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity are provided, allowing easy vehicle management via the TFT instrument cluster. Sweetening the pot is a handful of rider aids. This includes traction control, cornering ABS and riding modes with a special off-road setting. You can also disable all of these for maximum fun.
But its reach and power remain secret
What remains unknown are the power figures. But RE has confirmed that this is an entry-level platform and not a premium platform. So we think it will have simple performance and range, with a top speed of around 100 km per hour and a maximum range of 100 km. All that power would reach the handlebars via a chain-driven transmission.
The launch of the Flying Flea S6 is still a long way away
Why are so many details hidden? Well, because the launch is quite far away. Royal Enfield claims the plan is to launch this in late 2026, as part of its 2027 model range. And we don’t know if the US launch will happen soon after. There is also the question mark over rising rates, which have recently led to some significant price hikes for existing Royal Enfield bikes here.
