Newcastle United started with Adidas’ latest Champions League match ball
Adidas has unveiled the official competition balls for the competition phase of the UEFA Champions League and Women’s Champions League 2025/26. These new designs will be used throughout the tournament by Newcastle United, which return to the European top match with a team full of talent and ambition.
The [object Object] Is inspired by the nocturnal sky, with gold-out stars and zodiac symbols that reflect the journey from Europe’s top clubs to the final in Budapest. The ladies Champions League ball draws from deep space and the northern lights, with lively neon details and a glowing finish that leads the road to Oslo.
Both footballs present the iconic UEFA star pattern and are built with the latest performance technology from Adidas:
Prisma surface for improved precision and wave
Outer texture coating for grip and control
CTR core for consistent form and fast play, made with renewable natural rubber and organically-based materials such as corn fibers and sugar cane
In addition to performance, sustainability is an important focus. These are the most bio-based match balls that adidas has ever produced, whereby every layer has absorbed environmentally friendly materials without endangering the quality.
As part of the partnership of Adidas with a common goal, a percent of the global net turnover of adidas – football – including these – social impact projects around the world will support.
