The finalists of the ABN AMRO Hockey Weekend have been announced. For the women, SCHC and Kampong qualified for the last competition of the preparation tournament, for the men the final between Oranje-Rood and Bloemendaal is. The battle for the ABN Amro Cup will be decided next Sunday in the Kampong complex.
In the women’s competition, SCHC was the first to secure a place in the final on Friday. The team of new coach Robbert van de Peppel was 3-0 too strong for Tilburg, by goals from Yibbi Jansen, Elzemiek Zandee and Mete Winter. Later in the evening Kampong Cup holder Pinoké eliminated. It was 3-1 in Utrecht, with goals from Sosha Benninga (two) and Eline Jansen for Kampong. On behalf of Pinoké, which reached the play -offs for the first time last year, Florine Rodenburg scored.
The men of Oranje-Rood were too strong for Pinoké in the semi-final. Goals by highly scoring Scottish acquisition Struan Walker and Borja Lacalle made the difference for the Eindhoven men, who can prepare for a final against Bloemendaal. The Must Throwed away Rotterdam in the other semi -final with the smallest possible difference. German striker Elian Mazkour-ending from Rot-Weiss Köln, scored the winning goal (1-0). He already scored five goals for Bloemendaal this preparation.
