Defense Minister Rajnath Singh
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh described the Indian economy on Sunday as the world’s most “boisterous and dynamic” and said that some people who have the attitude of “we are everyone’s boss” don’t like it.
Singh’s comments are announced in the midst of high rates by US President Donald Trump on goods imported from India.
The speed with which India is progressing, no power in the world can prevent it from becoming a great power worldwide, Singh said in his speech after performing Boomi Pujan of a production unit of the Rail coach of the Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEM) in the Raisen District of Madhya Pradesh.
“Today, if a country has a boisterous and dynamic economy, it is the economy of India,” he said.
The Minister of Defense, without calling anyone, said that some people do not like the rapid development of India and cannot digest it.
“They think we are everyone’s boss and how is India trying so fast? Many people try to do something so that when things made by Indians in India go to countries of the world, they become more expensive than the things made in those countries, and they become so expensive that the people of the world don’t buy them,” he said.
In 2014, India was in 11th position in terms of the economy. Nowadays India is counted among the top four countries of the world (in terms of economy), Singh said.
“If a country has a rapidly growing economy, it’s our India,” he added.
“It means that the country is progressing and his people are moving forward, because if the countrymen do not go further, India cannot move forward,” he said.
Singh said that earlier things with regard to defense production were made in the world, used to buy from foreigners and India from them.
“But today many of these things are not only made on the Indian soil, not only by the hands of Indians, and we not only meet our needs, but we also export to other countries of the world. Building countries of the world buy our goods,” he said.
Singh said that when Narendra Modi became the prime minister in 2014, only £ 600 crore of Indian defense products were exported to other countries.
“But now we export defense products from more than £ 24,000 crore to countries of the world. This is the power of India. This is the new defense sector of the New India,” he noticed.
Singh also said about the terrorist attack in the Pahalgam of Jammu and Kashmir, in which 26 people were killed in April and said that India gave an appropriate answer to Pakistan, referring to the operation of the Indian army.
“People were killed (by terrorists) after they were asked to identify their religion. We can’t kill people after they have asked their religion. We don’t believe in murder. We don’t even kill ants. We have decided that we will kill people (terrorists) not by looking at their religion, but by looking at their actions,” he said.
Singh said that India’s clear position is that “we will not save anyone who encourages us.” Referring to the railway coach unit, the minister said it is a great gift for the Raisen region and Vidisha in MP and will offer work to 5,000 people.
Madhya Pradesh is progressing rapidly in terms of industries, since the state recently received an investment proposal from more than £ 30 Lakh Crore, he noticed.
“If the leadership is excellent, the development happens quickly. I think people will call Madhya Pradesh a modern state after a few years,” Singh said.
When this device is ready, the environment will also develop quickly, he added.
Earlier, Singh played the Bhoomi Pujan of the Rail Coach unit of the Beml that was built for an amount of £ 1,800 crore in the village of Umaria in the Raisen district.
The project has been declared Brahma (BEML Rail Hub for Manufacturing) and the initial production capacity will be 125 to 200 coaches per year, which is intended to be increased to 1,100 coaches per year in five years, according to officials.
MP Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Minister of Agriculture of the Union Shivraj Singh Chouhan and other dignitaries attended the Bhoomi Pujan program, organized on the ground of Dussehra in Obeedullaganj near Umaria.
A video message from rail minister Ashwini Vaishnaw was broadcast during the program.
