The Arizona Fall League has wrapped up for the 2025 season and Twins fans can get excited about one of their own top prospects on the way to next year. At first glance, No. 13 Brandon Winokur didn’t produce an All-Star fall campaign, but its potential goes much deeper than just that.
At 6-foot-1, Winokur is a versatile defender capable of playing shortstop, third base and center field. This offers him many opportunities as he continues to develop, giving the organization the opportunity to deploy him where necessary. On offense, the 20-year-old hit .192 in the AFL this year, but still found a way to drive in 12 runs in 21 games.
This is 2 a man which showed some serious pop in the opposite field in the Arizona Fall League, with two home runs and three doubles. He also walked nine batters. So the most important thing for the 2023 third round is to become more consistent. Once he can unlock that part of his game, the sky is the limit for the imposing Winokur.

Winokur played in the regular season at High-A Cedar Rapids. In 122 games, he recorded 26 stolen bases, 20 doubles, 17 home runs, three triples, 44 walks and 68 RBIs. In any case, not a bad campaign.
He struggled with consistency and would do several 0-for drills. But when Winokur came along, he was among the best hitters in Minor League Baseball. During his seven-game hitting streak from July 9 to 20, he went 13-for-28 with six RBIs. From August 16 to 22, Winokur went 9-for-24 with five RBI’s. He has shown excellent performances, so now it is about maintaining that superstar power.
While there are other big players in the Twins organization who are doing well, such as No. 1 Walker Jenkins who is ready for the MLB or No. 11 Kyle DeBarge who earned the Gold Glove Award this past season, Brandon Winokur is expected to be a player to watch in 2026. We expect him to break through quickly.
