Discover Sea Sisters, the British brand that is re -in -licked seafood with bold colors, playful typography and packaging that makes everyday inspiration.
We first discovered Sea sisters While they browse through it Monocle’s newest entrepreneurial problemAnd the story and the visual language of the brand immediately caught our attention. What started in West Dorset in 2020 as a Lockdown experiment has grown into one of the most design-forward Canneries in the UK. Founders Charlotte and chef Angus, frustrated by the lack of British British fish in the shelves, decided to do it themselves and celebrate the local catch by daring design and thought out vessel.
Packaging that speaks
- Lively, tactile wraps: every can wears a daring, full-color cap, ocean blues, leafy vegetables and coral shades that feel more like art than on packaging. A border with wave pattern evokes the sea, while the matte finish adds a tactile, traditional presence.
- Human-Central Logo: Two Fisher figures in clear caps stand against a stylized sail, an image that feels timeless and personally and connects the product with the heritage on the coast.
- Type with character: the rounded, retro “Sea Sisters” letters bears warmth and trust, nostalgic but unmistakably modern on the shelf.
- Eco-conscious design: with recyclable wraps and a minimized use of plastic, the packaging reflects the same sustainability ethos that leads their purchasing and production.
Tell the story by design
The packaging of Sea Sisters is more than visual decoration, it is stories at a glance. It brings heritage, craft and playfulness together and transforms a modest look into something that you want to show as much as devouring. It is a memory that the design has the power to generate everyday and inspiration in places such as a can of Hake of Norfolk mussels.
