An evening clock was imposed in the Bishnupur district, while prohibitions with a movement of five or more people have been issued in other districts of the Valley Van Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal and Kakching.
The Government of Manipur has ordered the suspension of internet and mobile data services, including VSAT and VPN, in the territorial jurisdiction of five valley districts for five days with effect from 11.45 pm on Saturday, according to an official statement.
The districts include Imphal West, Imphal East, Thoubel, Bishnupur and Kakching.
In the Bishnupur district, a curfew has been maintained and in the Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal and Kakching Valley Districts there are priceless restrictions that prohibit the movement of five or more individuals.
The order issued by Commissioner-Cum-Secretary (at home), N Ashok Kumar, said: “Given the prevailing laws and order situation, in particular in the Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal, Thoubal, Kakching and Bishnupur districts, there is a fear that some antisocial elements can use and hate-cheese and and-cheese-speech-pro-speveps.
