The five youngest players to reach 300 Premier League games

Declan Rice celebrated a career milestone this weekend after making his 300th Premier League appearance.

Rice made his 300th top-flight appearance as Arsenal won 4-0 at Leeds United to extend their lead in the Premier League title race.

The England international joined the West Ham team as a teenager and, in addition to his talent, his availability was a key asset to his teams.

Rice has become the fifth-youngest footballer to reach 300 Premier League appearances. He has missed just six games through injury and illness since making his top-flight debut against Burnley on the final day of the 2016/17 season.

Wayne Rooney holds the record as the youngest player to make 300 appearances in the Premier League. The ex-Everton and Manchester United striker made his debut at the age of 16 and reached 300 appearances aged 26 years and 58 days.

Only four players have ever reached that milestone under the age of 27. James Milner, Gareth Barry and Raheem Sterling have done so too. Interestingly, Milner is now just one appearance away from equaling Barry’s Premier League record of 653 appearances.
