The PFA player of the year is the most prestigious individual prize of the Premier League.
Mohamed Salah is expected to win a record-breaking third PFA crown later this month, after his sensational season in 2024/25.
However, the Liverpool goalkeeper is not the current favorite for 2025/26 in the latest opportunities of the Bookmakers. Prior to the opening fixture of the season on Friday, we have arranged the favorites to win the PFA Player of the Year Award in 2025/26.
The favorites for the 2025/26 PFA Player of the Year Award
= 4. Mohamed is wrong
Salah is the chances of winning the prize of last season, which will be announced on August 19. The Egyptian led the competition for goals and then helps Liverpool the title Ophive and earlier in the year the FWA Footballer of the Year prize.
However, the bookmakers do not support the 33-year-old to be the best of the competition in 2025/26. Salah is currently the favorite with the fourth fourth for the prize, despite the fact that Liverpool leads the market as title favorites.

Declan Rice has been in the race for Player of the Year Awards since he came to Arsenal. The midfielder became second for the FWA football player of the year in 2023/24 and made the six-star shortlist for the 2024/25 PFA Player of the Year prize.
Rice remains a driving force in an arsenal side that comes closer to the biggest prices. After three consecutive second place in the Premier League, a key role in getting the Gunners across the line can be decisive in the votes for individual awards.

Erling Haaland won the PFA Award in 2022/23, after scoring 52 goals in all competitions during the triple success of Manchester City. A year later he became in second place of teammate Phil Foden, before he was beaten for last season’s shortlist after a relatively ‘Down’ season.
That Down season still saw Haaland still plunder 34 goals in 48 games for Manchester City. The Noor is a target machine and a return to past heights will propel him in the mix.

3. Cole Palmer
Cole Palmer has become one of those players who is universally appreciated. His combination of carefree attitude, authentic personality and ridiculous talent has made Palmer a favorite of a neutral. He took the PFA Young Player of the Year Award in his debut campaign in Chelsea and made the six-player Shortlist for the Senior Award in 2024/25.
Another campaign of goals and creativity will remain well placed Palmer to challenge the EEA 2025/26.
2. Florian Wirtz
Florian Wirtz arrives in the Premier League as the most expensive signing of the all time division. Liverpool broke the British record to land Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen, where he was appointed Bundesliga player of the season in successive campaigns.
When he claims the PFA player of the year Award in 2025/26, he only becomes the second player to win the Premier League and Bundesliga Best Player Awards after Kevin De Bruyne.

Bukayo Saka is the current favorite with the Bookmakers to claim the 2025/26 Award.
The Arsenal -wing player started fire last season with six assists in six games and quickly reached 10 in the Premier League before the disaster struck. A hamstring injury closed Saka for a crucial period of the campaign, and he will hope for a injury -free season to disturb both himself and Arsenal in position for big prizes.
