Harry Kane has taken one of the records of Cristiano Ronaldo after he has become the fastest player who scored 100 goals for one club in one of Europe’s top five competitions.
The striker of Bayern Munich achieved a century for the club when he just found it twice during their 4-0 win over Werder Bremen on Friday evening.
Kane managed to do this in just 104 performances, which means that he scores at a speed of almost a goal per match since he left Tottenham Hotspur two years ago.
Ronaldo scored 100 goals in his first 105 games for Real Madrid after his move from Manchester United, while Erling Haaland did the same after he came to Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund.
Only the very elite attackers once came from a distance close to the matching of that level of goals, where Luis Suarez and Zlatan Ibrahimovic reached the milestone in 120 and 124 performances for Barcelona and PSG respectively.
“It is an honor to score 100 goals for this great club,” said Kane about the record after the victory over Bremen. “To achieve that so quickly, I am very proud of that. Hopefully I can reach another 100. It’s crazy [to break such a record]Even for me. “
It comes just a week after Kane broke a record and the first player in the history of Bundesliga became to successfully convert his first 17 (now 18) punishments.
