The dual pitching scramble of the rule Mets will live

It is a small sample size. So small that Jonah Tong still has to make a Major League start and Nolan McLean-with his introduction on Wednesday to Phillies-Mets-and Cam Schlittler had only combined 11.

But even with that limited time in the show, Tong, McLean and Schlittler evolves into instrumental pieces for the New York teams this stretch run. McLean and Schlittler are at least possible things to start Postseason competitions – and who knows if tongue does that too.

Schlittler, who made his MLB debut on July 9, has to vomit more than three runs in one of his eight starts and seems to improve. He is the best starter of the Yankees in August – with an ERA of 1.63 in five trips this month (third in the Majors for everyone with 25 innings), a strikeout percentage of 29 percent and a stroke average of .188 against.

In a best-of-three first round, starting that the Yankees are almost sure with his veteran left, Max Fried and Carlos Rodón (probably no injuries, which is of course dangerous). The third place would come on Schlittler, Luis Gil and Will Warren. And based on things it would probably be Gil vs. Be Schlittler. Gil made two Postseason-Starts as Rookie last year, but had started 29 in the regular season.
