The club of Olde Cypress, one of the most important private wave and lifestyle communities of Zuidwest -Florida, has announced the appointment of Jerrod Tumbleson as the new general manager.
Tumbleson brings experience in private club management for more than two decades, and serves in leadership roles at Gray Oaks Country Club, also located in Naples.
Tumbleson succeeds the old GM Ken Lanigan, whose 24-year term of office at Olde Cypress played a crucial role in establishing the award-winning culture and reputation of excellence of the club.
“We are very happy to welcome Jerrod to Old Cypress in such an exciting time for our club,” said Brian Stock, CEO of Stock Development, who possesses and operates Olde Cypress. “His leadership style, dedication to the involvement of members and deep operational expertise make him an ideal fit if we go into the next chapter of the growth of our club.”
That next chapter is already taking shape. The club is in the middle of a renovation of $ 16 million clubhouse. The ambitious project, planned for completion at the end of the year, is designed to improve the general experience through a stunning redesign of indoor and outdoor collection rooms.

Tumbleson, a resident of Michigan, was first introduced in the wave industry at the age of 13 and soon fell in love with the game, and the community atmosphere of the club life. He moved to Naples in the early 2000s and has since been a fixed value in the private clock landscape of the area.
Tumbleson lives in Estero with his wife, Catherine, a former LPGA Tour Pro and their two daughters. An avid golfer, cyclist and all-round sports enthusiast, he is pleased to meet the members of Olde Cypress and lead the club to the next era of growth and satisfaction of the members.
