The block is back for 2025 and takes participants to the picturesque tree trunk of Daylesford, Victoria. And there are some major changes for the 21st season.

This year the HIT Reality Renovation Program Five Blockhead teams that are responsible for brand new builds, identical floor plans, midnight evening clocks and the possibility to get a new weekly budgeting price of $ 10,000.

The new cast of Blockheads create five houses of 346 m² living space that form a new neighborhood in the new Middleton Field Housing Estate, located on the eastern access point of the regional city.

Host Scott Cam has returned for his 19th season and jury members Shaynna Blaze, Darren Palmer and Marty Fox are back to share their feedback, advice and criticism.

Week one: Bathroom

For their Senate, the participants revealed the task of making a bathroom in which one team had not ended the job, and the winning team that made the week on one point.

Here is a look at the room and what the jury members had to say:

House 1: Emma and Ben’s Bathroom Unveiling

Score: 24

The texture choices of the couple were an immediate hit at Shaynna, which noticed that the room was inspired by “wavy hills and dirt and mud from Daylesford.

Darren described it as a ‘cracker of a room’ and loved the natural light through the Velux, as well as the greens and the tiles.

“This couple, Emma and Ben, have a lot of experience, and they clearly know how to deliver, so I have really high expectations,” he said.

However, all jury members have noticed the rough tiles on their crooked nib wall.

House 2: Han and Can’s Bathroom Unveiling

Score: 19.5

Calming, soft and balanced were Darren’s first observations of the incomplete space, which had also positioned a vanity too high.

“If this is an adult, it is already high, but the rooms next door are children’s rooms. It is a bathroom shared by children,” he said.

“So this is definitely a challenge for every child who is younger than 13.”

The fittings in industrial style on the shower screen were not a hit at Marty.

Shaynna advised the girls to look at the outside of the house to guide the interior, and said she didn’t want them to feel defeated because it was only week one.

“Doing a bathroom on your very first week is overwhelming, tiring, and that’s okay, but I want to point out that you never have a bathroom in a cold environment,” she said.

House 3: Britt and Taz’s Bathroom Unveiling

Score: 24

Although the vanity height was wrong, the jury members of the use of wallpaper by the team that showed from floor to ceiling at the same time was not always necessary for a successful bathroom.

The nickel tapware and the vertical handrails did not win Shaynna, while Marty did not like the size of the shower screen.

“I think it’s a good bathroom, but it’s not great. And from a marketing perspective, where is the Daylesford in it?” he said.

House 4: Sonny and Alicia’s Bathroom Unveiling

Score: 25.5

“Lowering” was Darren’s reaction to the design that went in the “right direction”.

Shaynna again noticed that the vanity was too high, but despite that Marty said the space was suitable for Daylesford.

“The more I am here, the more I like it,” he said.

While Shaynna also criticized a number of tile problems, she said that the performance and planning of the couple was strong.

The pair took the budget price of $ 10,000 home.

House 5: Robby and Mats’s winning bathroom reveal

Score: 26.5

Darren won the week with one point, called the space ‘The Goldilocks’ Room’.

“This is all we have seen, work in other rooms, working extra well together. I think the boys have a very sweet place,” he said.

The Tegellayout and lines were perfect, Darren said.

“This is definitely the right direction. This shows that they have an eye on detail and finesse, and they really have a sense of style that I think it really fits with this house and this market,” he said.
