It is fair to say that Liverpool’s striving for Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak has become a fully inflated transfer saga.
It all started with the Reds that achieved an informal approach to their Premier League rival about a possible deal for the rush. When the magpies told them that he was not for sale, Liverpool simply signed Hugo Ekitike; A forward Eddie Howe wanted to come from Eintracht Frankfurt.
It didn’t end there. Isak told Newcastle that he wanted to explore his options and not fly to Asia with the rest of the team for the pre-season tour. Now he trains with the former club Real Sociedad in Spain, while Liverpool has officially made their interest.
This could still mess for a few weeks, but how does it relate to the biggest transfersagas in the English top flight in the past two decades? Let’s know.
