Fixing a ball mark on the green doesn’t usually work as an icebreaker in the first round, but if you pull out a Tomo Golf Ninja Kit divot tool to get the job done, chances are you’ll be answering some questions from your playing partners.
At least that was my experience when I took the Ninja Kit for a test drive earlier this year. It’s a beautiful one – and quite sharp! – tool that repairs ball marks with elegance and ease. When not in use, the Ninja Kit can be stored in a sleek metal case. You could keep it in your pocket, of course, but the length of the tool – not to mention the pointed teeth – makes the case an attractive option.
It’s hard to overstate the cool factor of this tool, which is made from AA7075 aluminum alloy with a precision milled logo and a waxed nylon handle. It looks heavy, but is surprisingly lightweight.

What I liked most about the tool was the fact that it made repairing ball marks – a mandatory exercise for all golfers – a much more enjoyable task. The Ninja feels great in the hand and the design encourages correct fixing of ball marks, i.e. pushing the tines into the grass and gently leaning the tool forward as you work around the mark. The long teeth and lack of roundness in the overall design are not conducive to pushing upwards on the grass, which is great, because I’ve learned that pushing up while repairing is the ultimate no-no for root retention and grass recovery.
Given the desirable features mentioned above, it should come as no surprise that the Tomo Golf Ninja Kit is the best-selling accessory of the year at Fairway Jockey, and would be a valuable addition to your bag in 2026. Check it out in detail below and click the link to buy yours now!
