This is the last edition of my best breakout candidates for each team in 2025-26, where the Atlantic Division is being treated here, the central division treated here and the here division of the Metropolitan. Let’s dive in the Pacific Division.

Anaheim Ducks: Leo Carlsson

Although the figures have not yet completely jumped off the page, the Anaheim -ducks have a potential superstar in Leo Carlsson. The play and intelligence of the 20-year-old center are extremely high-end and also have a goal as a target scorer and two-way player, too.

Leo Carlsson, Connor Bedard, Matvei Michkov and Ivan Demidov (The Hockey Writers)

Carlsson had 20 goals and 25 assists for 45 points in 76 games last season in second minutes. The main coaching change of the ducks should benefit him, and his young teammates are ready to improve themselves. But this bet on Carlsson is mainly due to his talent. He has the properties to become an Elite Top-Line Center, even if his results in ICE are not at that level.

Honorable mention: Olen Zellweger

Calgary Flames: Zayne Parekh

The Calgary Flames had scored the fourth fast goals in 2024-25, which led them to miss the play-offs. Although he is a 19-year-old defender, Zayne Parekh can help them in that area. With 203 points for regular season on his last two Ontario Hockey League (OHL) campaigns and a goal in his only NHL match, the ninth Pick 2024 can bring some juice to another non-inspiring attacking attack.

Parekh, one of the most dynamic defensive prospects of the NHL, can immediately have a strong impact on the flames in this coming season. A schedule place is far from guaranteed, and top-four use may be difficult to come by, but it is good enough to make it happen. He has a best mating potential.

Honorable mention: Mattone crowned

Edmonton Oilers: Matt Savoie

Among attackers with at least 20 games played in the American Hockey League (AHL) last season, Matt Savoie was in the 86one Percentile for points per match as a 20-year-old. He is ready to take on a full -time role With the Edmonton Oilers.

Savoie’s playing ability and elite skating make him a possible fit alongside Leon Draisaitl in the second line of the team. Although the younger NHL experience is missing with only four games under his belt, he is perhaps the second most competent wing player on the Oilers, next to Zach Hyman. With a case to be out of the gate in the top six, Savoie could lift a number of unsuspecting eyebrows over the competition.

Honorable mention: Isaac Howard

Los Angeles Kings: Brandt Clarke

When the Los Angeles kings were without Drew Doughty for a large part of the 2024-25 season, Clarke went on when he needed it. Although his results on the IIC correspond to the averages of the team, the 22-year-old Blueliner opponents 58-42 defeated 5-on-5 game. He bloomed offensively and ranked in the 88one Percentile for points per 60 minutes among defenders played for 500 minutes on five-a-side hockey.

The use of Clarke can be the best described as inconsistent. A best mating defender on some nights and a healthy scratch on others (and not really for his shortcomings), the young person could benefit from a better established role. If head coach Jim Hiller is willing to regularly give Clarke top-four looks in 2025–26, this can be seriously worthwhile.

Honorable mention: Quinton Byfield

San Jose Sharks: Macklin Celebrini

Although he was 18 years old, Macklin Celebrini had an immediate top-line impact for the San Jose Sharks in 2024–25. Recording 25 goals and 38 assists for 63 points in 70 games as a rookie, who knows what he will do in his second -year campaign?

Although the sharks had the worst record of the competition last season and did not add any remarkable pieces to the mix, Celebrini could see a huge point-scoring jump. That may seem like a contradiction, but young people Will Smith and William Eklund look at their own pimples. If this trio is united and that of the team Puck-Movers at the back Can contribute, Celebrini could surpass a point-per-game pace.

Honorable mention: William Eklund

Seattle Kraken: Shane Wright

After playing eight games in each of his previous two seasons, Shane Wright had a 79 game Stint with the Seattle Kraken in 2024-25 and registered 44 points in the process. Secondly in the tribes of the cracks in points per 60 minutes (2.38), only a user shot could take him to the reach of 50-60-point. There is not much chat about the 21-year-old, but he lives up Fourth-Overal Design Selection.

His pointed totals were impressive, so sure, Wright was a third -line player because his figures on the ice were not in order, right? Not exactly. On 5-on-5, Seattle had a target share of 55.06% when the Canadian Center jumped over the boards (Plus-9 target difference). But when he was sitting on the couch, they were decimated on a melody of a target share of 45.42% (min-24 target differential).

Seattle pays Matty Beniers and Chandler Stephenson centers to control the top six and earns a combined annual CAP hit of $ 13.39 million. But with Lane Lambert who now serves as the head coach of the team, Wright might get more playing time. If he does that, an outbreak can be on the radar.

Honorable mention: Kaapo Kakko

Vancouver Canucks: Filip Caught

The Vancouver Canucks have the chance to use Filip Chytil in a way that the New York Rangers have never done. Middle season acquired as the most important active in exchange for JT Miller, the 25-year-old has an almost undisputed path as a second-line center for the first time in his career. If the Canucks want to return to the play -offs, he will probably play an important role in it.

An Elite Puck-Carrier, Chytil will be an essential engine for playing in the top six of Vancouver. If he does his share, and the team around him does a breakout, is quiet in the store.

Honorable mention: Nils Höglander

Vegas Golden Knights: Pavel Dorofeyev

The outbreak of Pavel Dorofeyev was demonstrably in 2024-25, reached the 35-goal and added 17 assists in his first full season. But with the addition of Mitch Marner to the attack of the Vegas Golden Knights, he is cemented in perhaps the best top six in the NHL. Jack Eichel, Mark Stone and Marner combined for 189 assists in 224 matches last season-Dorofeyev almost guaranteed regularly with one of them on 5-on-5, which was previously not the case for him.

As the best target scorer of the Golden Knights last season, Dorofeyev has already settled as an essential player in the selection he gets opportunities. His ceiling is therefore quite high.

Honorable mention: Kairczak
