The 49-year-old MMA legend eliminated in Post Fight Brawl in Brazili video
San Paulo, Brazil (28 September 2025) – Wanderlei Silva Last night returned to action in Sao Paulo, Brazil in an exhibition fight against former Brazilian boxing champion, Aceino “Popo” Freitas. The match was wild as long as it lasted because “the Bijl murderer” was repeatedly warned of illegal strokes, including intentional headers and not to comply with the orders of the referee to break when they are called.
After the referee had put an end to the match and disqualified the former Pride FC and UFC legend in the fourth round, things became really ugly when both teams stormed the ring and the situation quickly escalated in a wild fight, with bumps thrown from each direction.
During the Melee, one of the team members of Freitas Silva attacked from behind and hit him in the back of the head that visibly rocked him. A few seconds later, “The Ax Murderer” was constructed cold after he had eaten a devastating blow to the chin from another non -ignored person, causing him to look at the lights on the canvas.
The fight took place between the two camps, while Silva was placed in the middle of the ring before his unconscious body was towed to a corner for his safety.
Wanderlei Silva recovered in the hospital and suffered a broken nose.
