Thad Jean rules Supreme
Atlantic city (August 1, 2025) – The 2025 PFL World Tournament Finals started tonight in Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, in which tournament campions were crowned in the Welterweight and Vederweight divisions.
The undefeated Thad Jean (11-0) The PFL Welterweight World Tournament Championship 2025 claimed with a dominant unanimous decision win in former Interim-Bellator champion Logan Storley (18-4). The fight went the full five rounds, with Storley again providing his toughness and resilience under fire from Thad Jean. Despite Storley’s ruthless struggle pressure and Takedown attempts, it was the striking of Jean who stole the show, the display of Pinpoint -rougiveness, liquid combinations and devastating power that his opponent kept everywhere on the defense. Jean’s performance not only earned him the belt, but also strengthened his status as one of the most dangerous good weights in the world.
The Co-Main event saw that of Russia MOVLID KHAYBULAEV (24-0-1) Take on Peru’s Jesus Pinedo (25-7-1) In a collision between two former PFL champions, each of whom wanted to claim the Title 2025 PFL Feedweight. The struggle of world class of Khaybulaev turned out to be the decisive factor, neutralize the explosive power of Pinedo and to keep the Peruan for a large part of the fight on his back. Yet the very first Peruvian MMA champion got the most out of the striking fairs, and even scored a knockdown. After a debilitating first round, Abdelbaset returned to his corner, but was unable to answer the bell for round two. Referee Keith Peterson waved the match, Newman gave the victory and kept his intact record.
The PFL World Tournament 2025 continues on Friday, August 15 from Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina, with the continuation of the final. The promotion takes place live on ESPN, ESPN+ and Dazn. The early card starts at 6.30 pm Est, with the main map starting at 9 p.m. Est.
