All six original teams are back for another attempt to capture the pre-series TGL title expands to a seventh team with Motor City GC Join 2027.

Date wave format
Each match consists of exciting head-to-head competitions and varied shots, promising an exciting spectacle for both the live audience and viewers at home.
The TGL format consists of 15 holes per match, divided into two sessions:
- Triples (9 holes): Teams of three players compete in an alternate shot format.
- Singles (6 holes): Each player competes against each other in a rotating format.
Each hole is worth 1 point, with no points awarded for a tie. The team with the most points at the end wins. In the event of a tie, a competition closest to the pin will determine the winner.
Teams earn points similar to hockey: 2 points for a win, 1 point for an overtime loss and 0 points for a regulation loss.
TGL Season 2 will see a number of changes including larger and more challenging greens with more holes, renovated bunkers, holes with team logos and larger playing areas.
The layout of the bunkers has also been revised, with one small bunker removed and the two remaining sand traps enlarged by 50%, while the hitting boxes have been enlarged to give players more space.
Each of the six teams in TGL Season 2 also now has a designated “team hole” – one of the six holes from Season 1 that have been customized to reflect their home course environment.
This change is intended to give teams a unique advantage on signature holes where they performed well in the inaugural season.
