The sale of Tesla electric vehicles fell by 13 percent in the first quarter of 2025, the worst quarterly result in the company since 2022.
It is amidst the reinforcement of the competition on the car market and a return to CEO Elon Musk’s embrace of extreme right -wing politics.
The company’s share price fell by 2 percent on Wednesday when the company registered a larger than expected decrease in turnover.
Between January to March, the company only sold 336,681 vehicles, about 50,000 fewer cars than for the same period last year.
Despite the fact that more people worldwide buy electric vehicles, Tesla’s turnover in Europe and China has abandoned, so that the market share has been handed over to local rivals.

The political attitude of Mr. Musk, who has found the far right party in Germany and has become increasingly closer to US President Donald Trump, has also established vandalism against Tesla cars and dealers worldwide.
Responding to the sales news, Wedbush Securities analyst said that it was a “disaster on every metric”.
“We are not going to look at these figures with pink glasses,” he told Reuters.
“The street and we knew a bad one [first quarter] Came, but this was even worse than expected. “
Mr. Musk predicted a turnover growth of 20 to 30 percent in 2025 last year and promised to launch an affordable model in the first half of this year.

Tesla’s turnover on the most important European markets fell again in March, with sale in France and Sweden for a third consecutive month.
Tesla started to offer the renewed model Y with updated styling and improved interiors in China at the end of February and last month in the US and Europe.
Data from Auto Industry Associations and Estimies of Analysts point to remarkable decreases from the Tesla sales during the first two months of the year in the US, Europe and China.
