The Washington Commanders A magical run to the NFC Championship Game a season ago and the pieces seem to be in place for another strong campaign. Washington’s selection of Jayden Daniels with the second everywhere in the 2024 NFL Draft paid dividends immediately, giving the franchise one of the cheat codes for the modern NFL grid construction: the Rookie Quarterback deal. With a Bonanza of Cappace that is introducing outside season this season, the commanders added around Daniels, including left -wing Tackle Laremy Tunsil and broad recipient Deebo Samuel on the offensive side of the ball and Deatrich Wise, Jonathan Jones, and Will Harris in defense.
But one of their own soil players is “frustrated” prior to the training camp with regard to his own contract status.
Wide recipient Terry McLaurin, prepared by Washington in the third round of the NFL concept of 2019, broadcast his frustration about his hope for a contract extension with the team. He signed a three -year extension with the commanders prior to the 2022 season, but under the conditions of that contract, the 2026 season is an “invalid” year for him.
Both with the media and on the local radio Tuesday, McLaurin appealed to his contract status:
“Yes, I’m pretty frustrated, I’m not going to lie,” McLaurin started when he spoke with the media. “Everything that happened to this point has been disappointing and frustrating.”
Later on the local radio McLaurin made it clear that he wants to be in Washington, but there have been no recent contract discussions:
However, McLaurin has not yet made a request for a transaction.
Commanders Veterans are planned to report for training camp on Tuesday 22 July.
We will see if McLaurin is among them.
